Love ur Look Press Day

This week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Love ur Look press day at the gorgeous Sanctum Soho Hotel in London.

Love ur Look is a fabulous collection of 1950s inspired dresses in fabulous bright cottons. Founder Ronke Fashola launched the business last year after a successful career in the fashion industry and designs the whole collection as well as sourcing all materials herself.

The range is predominantly inspired by the 1950s but is cut to compliment a modern figure. All the key elements of 1950s fashion are there be it full circle skirts, halter necks, tea dresses and bright vibrant fabrics.

The Spring/Summer 2012 range consists of 3 mini collections the first being English country garden which was my personal favourite. This includes fresh floral prints and pretty Ice cream colours. The cuts include the classic 1950s full skirted day dress and a beautiful wiggle dress with oversized buttons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The next range is entitled Fifties fun, these rock and roll inspired dresses in bold vibrant prints and colours remind me of fifties pin ups and are sexy and sweet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The third range Natures Playground features cute tea dresses with ever popular bird prints and funky fruit designs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The whole collection is extremely wearable and also very affordable with prices starting at a very reasonable £25.  The collection appeals to all ages as the cuts are classic but the prints are fun.Ronke herself was hugely enthusiastic about her range and this shows in the choices of cuts and colours.  She explained that she had been inspired while working as a personal stylist and looking inside real women’s wardrobes to design a range that would be flattering to female figures. She wanted to design a collection that women would love to own and this concept inspired the name of the company.
