Olympic Torches, Picnic Benches and Rockpools

August 1, 2012

It’s been a fabulous couple of weeks. The sun shone for our daughters christening and everyone had loads of fun, the olympics came to our home city and the school holidays have started.

Here’s a couple of pics of our garden looking fab for the christening, The bunting is from Paperchase and the benches were made by husband extraordinaire.

Here’s the cake which is from Waitrose…

We were lucky enough to have the Olympic torch relay come just round the corner of our house. There were an amazing number of people out on the road to cheer as it went past and the atmosphere was amazing. It was a really proud moment and one that the kids and I will remember forever!

Here’s a picture of the torch going past!

I am super excited to be going to the Olympic park this Sunday to watch the cycling, will be posting some pics next week.

This weekend we went on a family trip to Saltdean, near Brighton. Saltdean is known for it’s beautiful white cliffs and fantastic rockpools. The beach was so quiet and so much fun and we found lots of little fish, shrimps and crabs. I’d really recommend this beach for kid’s and we had a fab time.
