Must See – Biba Exhibition in Brighton

September 21, 2012

Yay, I have a new excuse to go to Brighton! Not only is Princess Charlotte’s wedding dress now on display at the Royal Pavillion but there is an exhibition on iconic fashion brand Biba at the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery! The exhibition covers not only the clothes themselves but also the story behind the brand, the shops, the influence and most of all the creative force behind it all Barbara Hulanicki.

This is a must see for any vintage fashion enthusiast as brands don’t come much more iconic that Biba, and the brand really did set the tone for a whole are of fashion. The exhibition also covers the work of Hulanicki once she had parted company with Biba.

I will do a proper post on the exhibition once I have had a chance to go, but if you can make it runs from 22 September 2012 to 14 April 2013 and admission  to the exhibition costs £6. Although you can become a member of the Pavillion and Museum here and enjoy unlimited access.
