As the cold weather begins to set in, the appeal of staying in the warm and not going out really takes hold. I’m the worst for cranking the heating up, making a culpa and wrapping myself up in blankets. However I made the decision yesterday that I had to go out and do something fun with Lila as often as possible and not become a recluse! So today we wrapped up warm and headed out to Carshalton to enjoy one of our favourite parks despite the freezing wind and steady drizzle. The Grove Park in Carshalton village is absolutely stunning, with the River Wandle flowing through it as well as bordering with Carshalton Ponds. The view of All Saints Church across Carshalton Ponds (shame about the busy road) One of the things I love most about the park is how many squirrels there are and we always bring a big bag of monkey nuts to feed them as well as some bread for the birds.
