Love ur Look Pop Up At House of Fraser

May 14, 2014

Love ur Look is one of my favourite online shops for pretty vintage style dresses. The dresses feature beautiful fabrics, novelty prints, oversized buttons and lot’s of beautiful details. The company is run by Ronke Fashola a former buyer and stylist, who started designing the range a few years ago. Since then the brand has gone from strength with several beautiful collections sold both on online and at a series of very successful pop up shops.

Love ur Look has now launched a pop up in House of Fraser in Oxford Street, beating 1000s of other brands for the chance to be featured in their Pop at HOF event. Her dresses are also being sold on the house of Fraser website throughout the event. I was delighted to be invited by Ronke to visit the pop up and choose a dress from the collection.

The event is presented in market style stalls in a prime spot on the ground floor of House of Fraser and I absolutely loved the bright colourful presentation. The stall also features a couple of designs which are exclusive to HOF including this beautiful macaroon print dress which is absolutely adorable.

I picked out a few of my favourite dresses to try and I absolutely loved them all…

This gorgeous postcard print dress is made from a lovely soft cotton, and the print is absolutely beautiful. I love the detail at the back with the oversized buttons and this was definitely a big favourite for me.

This pretty skirt dress has the most gorgeous green buttons and a net underskirt.

I loved this pretty floral shirt dress, and the polka dot trim is so pretty. In the end I chose this dress as the one that was coming home with me and I can’t wait to wear it. Look out for an outfit post and full review very soon.

I am absolutely in love with gingham at the moment and this contrasting dress is absolutely gorgeous for the summer.

The clothing is made ethically in India using surplus fabrics and trims and Ronke spends a considerable amount of time at the factory making sure the collection comes out perfectly. The workers are all paid fairly which is something really important to me as I think we need to put more thought into where our clothing comes from. I’m also a huge advocate of supporting small British businesses so this is definitely a brand I will be buying from again and again.

I love the passion that Ronke a lifelong vintage wearer herself has put into making fun clothes that are flattering and feminine. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

You look so nice in those dresses, I love the second one you tried on. I feel like I need one now to bring out my inner 50s housewife.

What dress did you get? I think it’s such a great idea having pop ups, wouldn’t it be amazing if they did something like that with vintage stalls!

LUL’s offerings are so marvelously fun, pretty and whimsical!!! Of those featured here, I especially adore the macaron and postcard print offerings.
