50s Gingham and Messy Hair • Vintage Frills
Yesterday I headed out for the day with Rob and the girlies, we’re still making the most of the gorgeous weather we’ve been having before the cold sets in, so I wore one of my most summery vintage dresses. I hadn’t planned to take outfit photos so I’m wearing trainers, I have messy hair which needs colouring and had hardly any make-up on! However I love the dress and the beautiful surroundings so decided to get a few snaps anyway. This pretty late 50s/early 60s dress is by California Cottons and I picked it up at an antiques shop in Kingston a couple of months ago. It’s such a pretty dress made from blue gingham and features a pretty embroidered rose design all over. It’s a great fit on me and it’s had quite a few wears over the last few weeks. We visited Hatchlands Park, a National Trust property in Surrey. On this occasion we just had a wander around the grounds and garden and didn’t go into the house, as we’ve visited it before.
