Pizza Making with Rossopomodoro and John Lewis

Last week the girls and I were invited to visit John Lewis in Oxford Street to have a pizza making class at recently opened restaurant Rossopomodoro.

Rossopomodoro offers an amazing selection of neapolitan style pizzas all cooked in a wood oven to perfection. It was so lovely to attend a blog event that I could take my girls along to, and we met some other lovely bloggers and their children too.

The restaurant itself was bright and welcoming with fresh Italian themed decor. We were made to feel welcome straight away by the lovely staff. While we got settled in I enjoyed a really tasty coffee and the girls tried their freshly squeezed lemon juice which was also delicious.

The children were then sat around a table together and given a really engaging talk all about pizza and how it’s made and where it originates from. The kids were all fascinated! Jessica must have been really paying attention as she’s been telling me pizza facts ever since! They then got to made their own pizza dough, which was put in a box to takes home and cook later.

The children were then all treated to a pizza of their choice all handmade with beautiful fresh toppings and cooked in the rather gorgeous golden oven. I loved the home made look of the pizzas and the kids really enjoyed eating them. A selection of pizzas were also put out for us parents to try, they were absolutely amazing!

I loved everything about our visit, the staff were so lovely and all great with the kids, the decor was lovely and the pizzas and drinks were some of the best I’ve had. I’m planning to go back really soon with Rob and the girls so we can experience the restaurant as a family (and maybe do a little shopping on Oxford Street too!)

As for pizza making, it’s definitely something I’ll be trying out with the girls again soon.
