My Red Reproduction Vintage Wishlist

February 20, 2015

Apart from one very precious red gingham Horrockses dress, my clothing collection is seriously lacking in the red department. One of my aims for the year is to expand my colour palette a little and red seems like a great place to start. I’m in love with some of the bright feminine reproduction garments I’ve seen and today I’m sharing a few of my favourites with you. There was actually so much in the way of beautiful bright red dresses that it was hard to pick my favourites, but I think this is a great mix for every day as well as special occasions and all of these items can be dressed both up and down.

I think it’s important to have fun with fashion and I’m loving the little novelty bags which seem to be everywhere at the moment. The pretty strawberry clutch would be perfect for adding a touch of kitsch fun to any outfit and the pretty heart shoes are just adorable.

Ooohh, I just adore this! Red has become my signature colour in recent years, so this post caught my eye instantly. I find read to be a quasi-neutral and love that there are very few colours it can’t play nicely with.

Best of luck with growing the crimson side of your closet! (I’m working to up the brown fashions in mine this year.)

Red is my favourite colour! For some reason I tend to wear more red in winter than summer….maybe this year is the year to change that?

I think red can definitely be summery, if worn with the right accessories, which gives me a good excuse to buy new shoes and handbags!
