A Visit to the Olympia Art and Antiques Fair

June 29, 2016

Antiques are something I’ve always had a huge love for. Since I was little and used to spend time in my Grandmas’s shop or look at all the lovely furniture and decorative items in their home. The past is a great place to look for beautiful things. This week I attended the preview evening of the Olympia Art and Antiques Fair. The fair brings together the most prestigious antiques dealers with the very finest products. Items on display range from early 20th century pieces all the way back to incredible ancient pieces, which are so old it’s a treat just to be able to look at them.

Olympia Art and Antiques Gold Cherub StatueDealers bring only their very finest pieces and as such prices range from the hundreds to many thousands of pounds. Even if you are not in the market for buying, I’d recommend a visit just to bask in all the beautiful treasures on display. I only had just over an hour to look round and I’d recommend allowing a lot more time as there is just so much to see. I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pieces from the show…

Be still my history loving heart, that is the kind of event that it would take a team of wild (or perhaps in this case, crocheted :)) horses to drag me away from.

Thank you so much for the awesome armchair visit. I enjoy and appreciated it immensely!
