BABY SHOWER – Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed Decorations

September 25, 2018

A couple of weeks ago I shared the floral nappy cake I made for Fay‘s baby shower. I mentioned that I was going to do a series of posts on all the things I got for the baby shower and how we put it all together. Fay wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme with a mint, white and rose gold colour scheme. When it all came together the theme worked so well and it all looked beautiful. I’ll post about the Alice in Wonderland details separately, but today I wanted to show you some of the decorations we got to tie in the colour scheme. We were Kindly sent most of the decorations from Hobbycraft who have an absolutely gorgeous selection of decorations for special occasions.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsThe baby shower was held in fay’s back garden and we put up a gazebo to put all the food under. This was the perfect place to hand all the lovely decorations we bought. We also had decorations on the tables and lots of little pretty details to bring the theme together.

Decorations

We chose this lovely banner in rose gold, which was so pretty. I really like the writing on the Hobbycraft baby shower range and that it’s quite grown up and not too cute or twee. The theme continued with these lovely balloons in white and mint.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsWe also got this Baby balloon garland to hang from the gazebo. This was really easy to inflate and looked lovely.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsThe only decoration I hung which wasn’t from Hobbycraft, were these paper pom poms, which I picked up in Poundland. I had planned to make some myself, but these were such a bargain that I had to go for them.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsMy biggest tip for putting up the decorations, would be to pick up a big packet of cable ties. I got loads in Poundland and it made it really easy to hang all the decorations. I also picked up helium from Argos to pump up the balloons, as well as rose gold curling ribbon from Amazon.

Personal Touches

One of my favourite details was this frame, where people could write little messages, in place of a guest book. This makes such a lovely keepsake would make a cute addition to the baby’s nursery. We put this on the table so guests could pop their little note in.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsAnother little personal touch, was some Advice for Parenthood cards. We popped these on the table for guests to fill in and I think they’re a lovely little addition to baby showers and again something the mum can enjoy and treasure.

We also got some lovely bits to serve the food and drink on, all of which match the decorations. These mint and rose gold plates were absolutely gorgeous and I loved the shape of them.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsWe also got these adorable stripy mint and rose gold paper cups to go with the plates.

BABY SHOWER - Mint, White and Rose Gold Themed DecorationsWe also got two sets of napkins. Some mint and rose gold and some very pretty white and gold ones. the quality of these was gorgeous and I loved the foil writing on them.
