Christmas Tea

Celebrating Christmas with Whittard

December 2, 2018

A few weeks ago I was invited to a little Christmas party hosted by Whittard. It was held at their gorgeous tea room in the heart of Covent Garden Market. We were treated to a lovely Christmas themed afternoon tea, as well as getting to look at the gorgeous Christmas gifting range.

Products included this gorgeous advent calendar, packed with a huge variety tea. I love the idea of discovering new flavours every day in December and finding new teas to love.

I absolutely love Whittard’s gorgeous biscuits and cookies and have had lots of tins in the past. the new Christmas flavours are absolutely lovely and would make a gorgeous small gift.

This years Christmas tea is absolutely delightful and includes black tea, orange peel, cloves, safflower petals and vanilla pieces. It is also joined by the fabulous Glitter tea, which is best served in a glass cup to show of it’s shimmery floating glitter.

The Christmas fudge flavours are perfect indulgent festive treat. I would love to find a couple of these in my stocking on Christmas morning. Other products include Christmas coffee, hot chocolate and Chai for those who aren’y traditional tea fans. Check out the Whittard website for the full gifting range.

Once we’d been talked through all the new products and sampled a few of them, it was time for our tea. The tea room itself is a lovely setting. It’s cosy and comfortable and the food and drinks are all delicious.

We chose the tea we wanted to try out of the hundreds available. I went for orange blossom tea and I’m so glad I did. It was fresh and tasty and perfect to accompany an afternoon tea. It’s now top of my list to buy when I need some more tea.

The food included a big selection of finger sandwiches including classics like smoked salmon and more festive Christmas themed ones too. The were also tasty savoury pies and pastries followed by some lovely cakes and patisserie as well, as my first mince pie of the season!

It was a great ay to spend an evening with lots of other lovely bloggers and the amazing staff at Whittard. I always learn so much from their events, about both the company and tea itself. The way they source their products and the quality of their products, has always made me a loyal customer and I couldn’t reckoned them enough to other tea fans.
