Fashion Outfit of The Day Vintage

Feeling Festive in Vintage #Blogmas

December 5, 2018

It’s been a busy December so far, with lots of work, fun stuff and mum stuff! As usual I’ve been juggling everything and mostly getting everything I need to do done (lets not talk about my overflowing inbox). I’ve been enjoying blogmas so far and the challenge of posting every day on the blog. I’m trying to mix it up a bit with my content and I hope you’re enjoying it so far. To everyone who’s already downloaded my book, thank you so much! I’ve had some lovely feedback and it’s made me feel great. I put so much work into it and I’m so proud of how it came out.

One of the things I’ve done this week, is re organise my wardrobe a bit. I’ve mentioned a few times that I have way too many clothes. I’m such a bargain hunter that I can easily come home from a car boot sale or charity shop with a heap of new clothes that only cost me a few pounds. It does mean that I regularly need to have a wardrobe cull and this one is way overdue! I did find some lovely clothes I’d forgotten about, that I’ll be wearing over the Christmas period though.

The dress I’m wearing here is one of my total favourites at the moment. I wore it for a little walk around the park with Rob today. I featured it in my guide to buying cheap vintage and I love it even more because it cost me just £1.50 at a car boot sale. I am a bit obsessed with those sleeves! I haven’t bought anything new on the high street for months and have been making a big effort to wear more of my vintage and second hand clothing and I’m loving it.

I love the challenge of shopping my own wardrobe and putting together seasonal outfit from what I already have. Basically anything red, green or wintery is having it’s moment right now and its making me so happy! Having watched a lot of documentaries about the fashion industry recently, it’s definitely got me thinking about being more careful with my purchases and consuming at a much smaller scale. It’s so easy to find fabulous second hand clothing and at the time of year where we’re all spending like crazy, being a bit more mindful with my fashion choices feels really good.

I’m looking forward to sharing more Christmas outfits on here and over on Instagram. Have you had any goo vintage find recently?
