I’m really enjoying looking at everyone gorgeous Christmas Instagram snaps at the moment. I really love all the pretty floral doorways, over the top bauble displays and general merriment. I love a photo walk year round, but at Christmas it’s even better. I thought it would be fun to go to a few different areas of London and pick out a few of the best photo spots. I got up very early on Sunday morning and headed to Covent Garden, which was completely empty apart from a few other keen bloggers and Instagrammers who were also getting their snap on too.
The Henrietta Hotel on Henrietta Street is beautifully adorned in foliage. I love how classy it looks and it’s absolutely perfect for a few festive outfit pics.
I can never resist a London door and this one just looks so gorgeous all dressed up for the season.
Nearby Floral Street has lots of good spots. The Petersham Nurseries shop is always worth a visit and has endless picture possibilities. The doorway of Floral Street Fragrances looks like an icy winter dream at the moment. Another lovely photogenic doorway.
Floral Court is adorned with Christmas trees and fairy lights and makes a perfect little escape from Christmas shopping. It’s also a lovely spot to get a few pictures for Instagram.
Also located on Floral Street, Clos Maggiore always have beautiful displays outside and this icy display featuring polar bears and pinecones is a total winter dream.

Onto the piazza and you enter a bloggers paradise. As well as the absolutely gorgeous architecture and classic symmetry, there are also plenty of awesome photo spots which have been set up around the shops.
The lights are all looking absolutely gorgeous and I love the classic red and green colour scheme.
No matter what time of day you come to Covent Garden there will be people grabbing a snap here. First there was a giant pumpkin for Halloween, now this spot pays host to a little Christmas paradise. My favourite thing about this spot is that there is always someone here who will offer to take a pic for you. People are actually really nice!
There are also a few of these cute benches dotted around the piazza. I’ve seen so many lovely pictures taken on these across the seasons.
These cute little carts are also dotted around Covent Garden and look great in pictures too.
This Morris Minor has made it into sooo many Instagram feeds, that I’ve lost count! It is however my dream car, so I’ll post a pic from every angle!
I wouldn’t mind taking some of the presents from the top too!

If classic cars aren’t your thing, how about an enormous reindeer on a sleigh. Covent Garden really is the Christmas gift that keeps on giving isn’t it?!
My final stop on the piazza was a giant Channel Nº5 bottle! I love it!
Just a few feet away is the gorgeous Balthazar restaurant, which always on season decorations. There are often cars parked directly outside though, so like me you may find it hard to get a shot of the full display.
Even the local pubs have got a taste for the festive flavour! I absolutely love this entrance, plus I would happily pop into Charlotte Tilbury and buy some new make up after a couple of pints in the pub!
The Seven Dials area is also looking fabulous and if you’re looking for something a bit different, there are plenty of spots round here to take some lovely London photos.
I love these little cobbled streets with simple Christmas lights, lovely for some early morning photos.
I loved seeing this normally busy spot, completely empty other than the occasional taxi. There’s definitely something to be said for rising early and heading to town on a Sunday morning.
My last essential Instagram spot would have to be Neal’s Yard. When I went the light wasn’t great so they aren’t my best pictures, but this is such a lovely colourful spot it absolutely has to be visited.
There were a couple of other pictures I wanted to get that weren’t possible first thing in the morning. One was a view of the Christmas tree through the entrance to St Pauls Churchyard, which unfortunately was closed, but always looks amazing. The other was the arches in Conduit Court, which I actually forgot to go to! Ooops!
Hard as I tried I couldn’t fully hide the lorry behind the giant Christmas tree, but these two sniffer dogs running into shot made top for it!
