Stampin’ Up – Making Lovely Home Made Greeting Cards

February 4, 2019

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsOne of the things I wanted to do more in 2019 was to try some new crafty things. I find getting creative really relaxing and a great way to switch off. I was recently gifted a card making kit from Stampin’ Up. I’ve never really got into paper crafts and although I dabbled in a little card making before, I’ve always lacked inspiration. So using a kit was a great starting point for me. I had so much fun making these cute cards.

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsThe Stampin’ Up Made to Bloom kit came with everything I needed to make a selection of cards for different occasions. There were 3 different designs of card bases and different trims and flowers to pop out and stick on. The kit came with a selection of stamps, an ink pad and adhesive pads. I loved that I needed no other equipment and everything I needed for the project was included in the kit.

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsThe kit came with a booklet with instructions to make 3 different card designs using all the bits included in the set. This was perfect for me, as I didn’t really know where to begin.

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsI love that the stamps come with a block and you can just stick the stamp you want to use onto it. It’s such an easy way to use stamps and if you wanted to build a big collection of stamps, this way they wouldn’t take up too much room. Genius!

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsIt was really easy to create each design following the instructions. I started by stamping and then sticking the pieces together. It was easy enough to be really relaxing and fun and a great way to spend a chilled couple of hours making something lovely.

Stampin' Up - Making Lovely Home Made Greeting CardsI made all three designs following the guide in the kit. They look so cute and I love the idea of giving a hand-made card to some of the special people in my life. There’s definitely a little extra pride attached to giving something that you’ve put together yourself.

Once made, all 12 cards and their envelopes fit perfectly inside. Perfect for storing away for special occasions. Once all the cards are used up this can be used as a cute little gift box.

I had a great time with this kit. It was perfect for relaxing mindful crafting. It was easy to do and I loved the finished product. I can keep using the stamps for more projects and it’s opened me up to a brand new craft.
