These Boots Were Made For Autumn – Hotter Blenheim Boots Review

October 21, 2020

Ad – This post is part of a paid partnership with Hotter Shoes. All opinions are my own.

When summer ends I always feel really sad to be putting my favourite sandals and wedges away and thinking about warmer more weather friendly footwear for the colder months. It’s just so easy in the summer isn’t it! I always struggle a lot more to find something thats ticks all the boxes at this time of year. I need something that looks good with dresses, as thats what I wear most of the time. They also need to be really comfortable because I walk a lot and hate anything that doesn’t feel super comfy all the time. I was after a practical pair of lace up boots that would see me though Autumn and Winter and as usual I found the perfect pair for me from Hotter Shoes.

I chose the Blenheim Boots in black, because they’re simple enough to pair up with pretty much any outfit, but they also look really nice too. They will be great for trips to the park with the kids or when I want to dress a little bit nicer too.

These Boots Were Made For Autumn - Hotter Blenheim Boots ReviewI gave them their first wear for an autumnal stroll in a local park. I popped them with one of my favourite everyday dresses and some black tights, which is the sort of thing I wear most days at this time of year. The boots were instantly comfortable, which is absolutely amazing as I often have to wear new boots in and go through that annoying stage where they haven’t softened up yet! These are very soft and cushioned inside and there was no rubbing at all, so I was good to go straight away.

These Boots Were Made For Autumn - Hotter Blenheim Boots ReviewMy favourite thing about the boots is that as well as lacing up they also have a side zip, so they are so easy to get on and you don’t need to loosen the laces to get them on. The also have a soft lining, which mades them really easy to slip on. They come up true to size, I ordered my usual size 6 and they were fine with my tights and a pair of socks. They are also reasonably wide fitting, so were fine for my slightly wide feet. This makes then really comfortable and allows room for a warmer pair of socks if I need them later in the year. They have a foam padded foot bed, which feels amazing and takes the ache out of being on your feet all day.

These Boots Were Made For Autumn - Hotter Blenheim Boots ReviewThey have a fantastic cleated grippy sole, making them ideal for wearing in different environments. The rubber sole is designed to be durable, so I’m sure they’ll be similar to my other Hotter shoes and last year after year. I’ve had lots of pairs of shoes from Hotter which I wear loads and I’m yet to see any damage on any of them. they are definitely built to last and worth investing in.

These Boots Were Made For Autumn - Hotter Blenheim Boots ReviewI’ve worn them here with a dress, but I think they’d also look great with jeans or worn with comfy leggings and a big coat for outdoor winter adventures. I’m sure they’ll be keeping my feet happy while I do lots of exploring and making memories for a long time to come!

These Boots Were Made For Autumn - Hotter Blenheim Boots ReviewI chose them in a the black waxed nubuck suede finish, they also come in the same finish in brown and a black leather finish, so there’s a style to fit most tastes. Hotter also have a huge range of other boots, from outdoorsy walking books to more dressy styles. They are all designed with comfort in mind, so if like me that’s your biggest shoe priority I’d definitely recommend taking a look.
