Whats New in the Vintage Frills Shop – More Vintage Laura Ashley and Pretty Florals for Spring

April 23, 2021

I’ve been very busy over the last few weeks working on my vintage shop. I love bringing you gorgeous sustainable vintage clothes and accessories to add a little joy to your wardrobes. I’ve added so many lovely items that I just adore in the last week. My latest additions feature lots of pretty vintage prints, sweet jewellery and a range of sizes from 6-18. I thought I’d share this weeks new additions with you and I hope you love them as much as I do!

The shop has lots of mix and match items, as I always try to build collections that work well together, so you can pair the lovely dresses with pretty knits and lovely accessories to build gorgeous vintage outfits or just as inspiration to pair pieces up with clothes you already have in your wardrobes. Shop dresses

Of course there are lots of lovely vintage dresses, as we all know that’s what I love best! This time I’ve gone for florals and blue tones and a few very pretty lace details. All the dresses are perfect for Spring going into Summer and channel the gorgeous British countryside, the cottagecore look and pretty romantic charm. Shop – broochcardigandress

One of my favourite pieces is this original 1950s dress, which not only has the most gorgeous bow print, but Victorian inspired lace details and pretty rhinestone buttons. Even better it’s in a UK size 16. I always find 50s dresses in larger sizes harder to find, even in my size which is a 14, so I was delighted to add this beauty to the collection. Shop – dress

My last collection featured lots of pretty Laura Ashley dresses, which were so popular that I worked hard to source a few more. This pretty ditsy floral cotton dress has a lovely lace collar, pockets and lots of romantic charm. Shop – dress

Another beautiful Laura Ashley dress from the collection, I absolutely love the floral striped print, which reminds me of regency stripe textiles and wallpaper and of course those signature romantic puff sleeves. Shop – dress

If you prefer something a little simpler, this lovely vintage St Michael dress with matching belt is a fabulous wardrobe staple that will see you through the season. The styling possibilities with this one are endless and it could easily be dressed up or down. I’d wear this one with my favourite wedges and a light cardigan as an everyday look. – Shop – dress

I’ve mixed lots of different eras in this week with dresses from the 50s to 80s. Shop – left to right – dress 1dress 2dress 3dress 4dress 5

I’m still absolutely loving the cottagecore look and the shop has some lovely embroidered pieces including this wonderful vintage Laura Ashley cardigan which I’ve paired up here with a beautiful 1970s Laura Ashley prairie dress and a pretty embroidered bag from the shop. Shop – dresscardiganbag

Another new addition is this pretty Laura Ashley cardigan in knitted cotton. Perfect for the ever changing Spring weather and colder summer evenings. The pastel colours on these two pieces are just gorgeous! Shop – dresscardigan

Why not go for a double Laura Ashley look and pair the cardigans with some of the Laura dresses from the shop! Shop – cardigandresscardigandress

I’ve also added a lovely vintage pussy bow lace collared blouse, which I’ve had loads of fun layering up with some of the other pieces from the shop. Here I’ve popped it under this lovely 90s embroidered sweater and gingham skirt from the shop, along with one of my own vintage belts. Shop – blousesweaterskirt

It also looks sweet under this pretty pink gingham dress. I’d wear this outfit for early summer picnics or walks in the wood looking for wildflowers. Shop – bookdressblouse

Or under a vintage knit. I love having wardrobe staples like this that can be worn with pretty much anything and make your wardrobe go further. This lovely blue knitted cardi has lots of lovely details and the loveliest silver buttons. Shop cardiganblouse

As for jewellery the shop has absolutely loads of lovely things at the moment, including lots of gorgeous floral brooches. A lots of these are from my own collection that needed thinning out a bit, no one needs over 100 embroidered brooches after all! Shop – jewellery

For vintage lingerie lovers I have this wonderful St Michael longline bra, which is almost too pretty to wear under your clothes! I’ve pictured it here with the pretty pink gingham skirt, which is another great mix and match item. Shop – braskirt

This is just a small selection of what I have on offer, the shop currently has over 200 vintage items available. Check out the full range over on Vintage Frills Shop.
