I’m always looking for new things to make for my home and I’ve seen lot’s of lovely little paintings that people have done, so I thought I’d give it a go myself. I’ve always been OK at art but not good enough to ever do it as a hobby, but I thought it was worth a try. I picked up a little canvas for £1.50 in Hobby Craft and 5 colours of acrylic craft paint. I looked online for inspiration before sketching a little design and painting it.
I’m actually really happy with how this came out and I found it a really relaxing way to spend an evening and will definitely be doing more little paintings in the future. I think I’ll get some brighter colours in the future as I wanted pastel shades but I think these are too pale.

June 18, 2013 at 9:08 amI think that’s brilliant! The pastels are so cute.
I feel the urge to paint something now, probably because I know there’s things I should be doing that are more important!
