Unfortunately I’ve not been feeling very well the last few days, it’s one of the bad points of being a mummy that you seem to catch every bug the little ones get. Luckily my fantastic husband looked after me beautifully and I’m feeling much better now.
I’ve managed to get a little behind on my blogging schedule, and I’m kicking myself for not getting ahead and writing some stand by posts for times like this!
Hopefully over the next few days I will get a bit more caught up, Making Monday will be back next week, and I have some more vintage inspired christmas party outfits planned as well as some christmas gift ideas for vintage lovers.
I’m also going to write a post about my fantastic new sponsor Cori Lu Vintage who has the most amazing Etsy shop, it’s like a little vintage treasure trove with lots of beautiful accessories and home bits.
I’ve managed to finish a book this week, Christmas at Rosie Hopkins’ Sweetshop by Jenny Colgan, whose books I love. I reviewed the first Rosie Hopkins book last year. Although I read a big variety of books I absolutely love chick lit and Jenny Colgan writes chick lit at it’s absolute best. So this is definitely the first of many christmas reads I’ll be recommending this year.
I also got the audio book of David Suchet’s Poirot and Me, I’m a massive Poirot fan and at the half way point I’m am really enjoying this one. It’s brilliant written and I love the fact that the audio book is read by Suchet and features his fabulous Belgian accents. I would really recommend getting this one as an audio book as I think it’s really added to the enjoyment. This book would also make a fantastic Christmas present for a Poirot fan.
I’ll be writing reviews of both these books early in December.
Anyway thanks for baring with me while I’ve been gone and normal activity will resume tomorrow. xxx

November 27, 2013 at 1:16 pmYou might have to transfer that audiobook over this way! Sounds like it will be fun with all the accents! I finished Colgan’s book yesterday and review is now up 😀
Glad you are feeling better and looking forward to more posts 😀
