While sorting through my bedroom earlier I had a look through my collection of vintage scarfs and came across one of my very favourites. It’s a vintage London themed scarf, I’m not sure exactly when it dates from but as a born and bred Londoner it’s the perfect vintage scarf for me.
It highlight some of London’s famous landmarks through beautiful illustrations, and I love that they’ve included Nelson’s Column and St Paul’s which are two of my very favourite places in London.
The scarf is in perfect condition and I fished it out of a big suitcase of vintage textiles at Wimbledon Car Boot Sale for a very thrifty £1.50. I haven’t worn it yet but it would make a fantastic headscarf or to show it off even more I might tie it round the handle of a vintage handbag.
I love how vintage scarves often tell a story or represent a place or thing. I’d love to share a few more from my collection in the future. Do you have a favourite vintage scarf and if so where did you find it and what is on it?
