I had a bit of a quiet week this week, mostly doing mummy stuff and catching up on blog reading.
On Monday Lila and I popped to Primark, I had been after a couple of new skirts which I had seen online, but sadly neither of them was in stock. But I did manage to get lot’s of basics, like tops for the summer, flip flops and sunglasses as well as a few hair accessories, so not a wasted visit!
As usual we did lot’s of baking this week. Lila made some cinnamon fairy cakes in this cute silicone cake mould which Rob picked me up in Lidl.
I started and finished the fabulous Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan. I love her books, they are my chick lit guilty pleasure and each one seems to get better. I also bought a huge new mug from Sainsburys, so I can have extra big tea! Yay!
We got out our big wooden train set and have played with it loads this week. I absolutely love building big complicated tracks and now I want more!
The only outing I really had this week so to the Ideal Home Show, as Fay and I had press passes. It was a really great day out with loads of inspiring home ideas and lots and lots of shopping. I didn’t buy much but I picked up a few things that I’ll share on the blog next week. I also filmed a vlog, which I will try to edit when I get a chance.
One of my favourite stalls was Simply Vintage Designs, who actually sold at my vintage fair a couple of years ago. They have such pretty little vintage bits for the home.
While we were there we had a yummy pizza Express, I opted for a Niciose Salad, as I had done a ridiculously gruelling Body Attack class that morning and wanted to be good! It was delicious though and a great change from Pizza.
We also treated ourselves to a cocktail at the show, we each had a Watermelon and Basil Mojito, which was unusual but very refreshing.
I also have another new craft hobby, which is making flower garland headbands. A video tutorial for this one will be up on the blog tomorrow.
I hope you’ve all had great weeks. I’m going to try to make this next one an interesting one! xxx

March 25, 2014 at 9:35 amOoohh, yum! Watermelon and basil together sounds very, very tasty to me. I will have to sub in basil for mint in my usual summertime watermelon, herb and goat’s cheese salad at least once this year. Thanks for the culinary inspiration!
