I haven’t shared at outfit post on here since November and considering they are always my most popular posts I will try harder this year to share more. I picked up a few new bits in the sales so I have a few lovely new outfits to share with you.
I was on the look out for a couple of pretty dresses for winter that were within my tight budget and great for wearing every day so I popped over to the trusty Lindy Bop website to choose something nice. They are currently having a 20% off sale which is running for a couple more days, so hurry over for a bargain. In the end I got two dresses and one of them was the lovely Lana, in a beautiful floral blue fabric.
I’ve actually had my eye on this dress for a while. So I was so pleased to finally get it, especially at a reduced price. this particular dress is also available in several other colours and prints.
I absolutely love the colour and print which is vibrant and bright, but also dark enough to make a good winter dress. It’s made from a heavy stretch cotton which is super soft and comfortable and hangs really nicely.
The dress is in a fifties style, with a lovely full skirt which gathers beautifully in box pleats and fastens with a zip at the back. It is fully lined which makes huge different to the feel and fit. It is sleeveless which you can’t see as I’m wearing a cardigan over it. It also came with a matching belt waistband which I’m not wearing with it here. It’s also really easy to wash and iron which suits me perfectly, I don’t have time for too many high maintenance dresses!
As an avid collector of real vintage clothing, but also a busy mummy I like to wear vintage style and reproduction vintage dresses for everyday. I like affordable clothes which I can wash and not worry about damaging. So Lindy Bop is definitely one of my favourite budget friendly companies.
I also like dresses that are simple and easy to wear. I live in pretty dresses, cardigans and ballet pumps and this dress is perfect for mixing and matching with my wardrobe staples.
We spent the day at Hampton Court Place where Rob kindly took these pictures of my outfit. The dress was so comfortable all day and the lovely stretchy cotton was perfect for running around after the girls handpicking up Lila, while still looks classy and feminine.
I’d also like to mention how speedy the delivery on my two dresses were. They came the day after I ordered and the postage was only £1.95 which is the cheapest I’ve paid for delivery anywhere in a long time. The customer service was brilliant and I was impressed with how true to size both the dresses I ordered were. The website is also easy to use and the photographs of the dresses are all clear and accurate. So I impressed all round with the ordering experience.
It was also great to get 20% off two already very affordable dresses and I’m very tempted to buy a couple more before the sale is over.

January 3, 2015 at 6:19 pmOoohh, this dress looks so fabulously pretty on you, honey! After years of eyeing and daydreaming about their offerings, as my main present from Tony this Christmas, I recently ordered my first four Lindy Bop dresses. They haven’t arrived yet, but should any day now. Lana wasn’t amongst them, but if I have good luck with the fit of the ones I did get, I might just have to come back for “her” later in the year. 🙂

January 8, 2015 at 2:21 pmLindy Bop amazes me! I am in the US and shipping is STILL super speedy! I love how their dresses almost always have stretch and are a bit thicker than most dresses. I love that high quality! They’re durable and so comfy!

January 9, 2015 at 7:32 amI too ordered a dress and the quality is amazing and excellent value for money. However, I found the sizing not to be accurate and returned for a larger size. Will definitely be ordering from Lindy Bop again.

July 22, 2015 at 11:35 amIf you wanted to put a petticoat with this dress would a 26 inch one be ok?

July 22, 2015 at 11:36 amI think the one I wear with it is a 26″ so should be fine.

November 5, 2015 at 2:06 pmI am ordering from the USA and was a little concerned about that. There are some scam companies out there called Rose Wholesale and Rosegal that claim to sell vintage dresses but take peoples money and don’t send the product. So my questions, is Lindy Bop reliable and trustworthy to order from? Kasey Burt

November 5, 2015 at 2:16 pmYes, it’s not like one of those sites! I’ve ordered loads and they’re quite well respected here in the UK. Hope that helps.
