One of the things that really got me into pretty floral prints and mix matching patterns was a job I started when I was 18. It was at the new Cath Kidston shop which was opening in Wimbledon at the time. It was one of the most fun jobs I’ve ever done and I loved the company and all the gorgeous things they sold. Sadly I was only there for about a year as I left to fly off to India on an adventure, but thats another story.
My love for Cath Kidston has stayed strong and although I missed the staff discount I continued to keep buying pretty bits for my home and as my family grew and I had kids and got married and bought houses the pretty floral prints have always been there. It’s actually a bit of an addiction and I get really excited when new patterns and designs come out!
A couple of months ago I went to the Cath Kidston SS15 preview event and saw all the lovely new things that will be coming into shops this year. To me this is the most adventurous collection so far, the cloud print is far brighter and bolder than I’m used to seeing and I love it. The beacon view collection pays homage to Cath Kidston’s Cotswolds home and the farm print is adorable for both kids and grown-ups. My favourite collection of the year would have to be the ric-rac, I love this modern take on something that is very vintage.
I put together a collection of my favourite bits that are out so far…
Ric Rac:
Top – Jumper – Skirt – Mug – Wallets – Shawl – Dress – Socks – Bangles
Beacon View:

What is your favourite print and item from the collection?
