One of my favourite vintage events in London would definitely have to be The Classic Car Boot Sale. What could be better than tonnes of beautiful vintage things to buy, a fantastic selection of classic cars, plenty of street food served out of classic vehicles and a bar in an old route master bus. I’ve only missed one event since they launched a few years ago and some of my favourite vintage dresses have come from sellers at the event.
The Classic Car Boot Sale is returning to London for two days this weekend. The event takes place a stones throw from Kings Cross Station and will pay host to over 100 classic vehicles and bikes as well as over 65 vintage traders. The quality of the stock on offer is really good.
To give you a taste of what to expect here are a few photos that I’ve taken at past events…
The stalls are packed with lovely vintage clothing, including plenty of mid century pieces.
The cars are one of the main highlights for me, I’m always excited to see who will turn up on the day.
I love looking through absolutely everything, there are lots of great finds hidden amongst the stalls.
The food and drink is all served from adapted vintage vehicles and there is a huge variety to choose from.
As well as clothing there are plenty of lovely home bits up for grabs.
I have a massive weakness for vintage aprons, this was one of my favourite stalls from last year.
Lots of wonderful mid-century kitchenalia.
The event has plenty of stalls to cater for the discerning gentlemen as well as for the ladies.
All the vehicle owners are really friendly and it’s great fun to have a peek inside their fabulous motors.
Time for tea? One of my favourite things to spot at vintage fairs is the fantastic mid century crockery.
A fantastic selection of vintage accessories. Even if you don’t wear vintage clothing all the time, a handbag makes a great vintage purchase.
I think this might be my dream vehicle! I just love the colour, I wouldn’t mind the cowboy boots too!
I really enjoy leafing through rails and rails of lovely clothes, looking for that perfect dress to re-home.
The event takes place on the 16th and 17th April
Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross, London N1C 4UZ
Nearest tube – King’s Cross / St Panras International Station
Find the full details of the event on The Classic Car Boot Sale website.
