I absolutely love subscription boxes! I’m a big fan of buying myself a little surprise parcel every month and discovering what lovely things lie within. I was recently asked to choose a subscription to review from uOpen a fabulous website, which stocks a huge array of different subscription boxes. I love the website as it has such a variety of boxes and makes gift buying super easy whether it be a gift for someone else, or a little treat for yourself.
I decided to try the Bookishly vintage book and tea subscription box from uOpen. Each one comes with a vintage book, some lovely tea and a little piece of stationary. What could be better for me? I love vintage things, I love books and I absolutely love tea!
I loved the packaging of my parcel and that it was narrow enough to fit through the letter box, I always miss parcels! I was very excited to find out what was inside.
The package had a science fiction theme and included my book, which was all wrapped up like a gift, an awesome pad of paper with a Mary Shelley quote and a really cool bookmark as well as a little package of tea bags.
The pad of paper was one of my favourite parts of the package. My daughter Lila loves science and she thought it was pretty cool too! I’ve been jotting down little notes on it every day. Anyone who knows me will testify that I love constantly writing lists!
I am a bit of a tea fanatic and absolutely love trying new ones. The Body Boost tea that was included was bang on genre and was also pretty tasty too.
You get four gorgeous pyramid bags in each one, just enough tea to settle down an enjoy a book with!
And of course the book itself was a super cool retro sci-fi book, not something I would usually choose, but it’s always good to try something new! I’m taking some time off work this week to do some stuff around the house, go to the gym and have a bit of me time. So I’ll definitely be curling up with the book and several cups of tea.
Check out the uOpen website for more book subscription boxes and every else from food to beauty to drinks, arts and craft and little home treats.
