I hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine this week! It may still be a little chilly, but hasn’t it been lovely to have some more cheerful weather. Over here at Vintage Frills, I’ve been listing more beautiful vintage pieces on my Etsy shop. This time I’ve been channelling my two favourite colours, pink and green. I’ve combined these with more beautiful floral prints and some lovely floral jewellery. This collection has a few lovely Laura Ashley pieces, but also a few more affordable vintage dresses for all budgets.
Knitwear has been so popular this year and lots of gorgeous cardigans and jumpers have gone to new homes. I’ve been trying really hard to source some more knits for the shop, but it’s been quite tricky to find exactly what I’m looking for. But I do still have a few bits to compliment this collection. I absolutely adore anything with floral designs or pretty embroidery.
When it comes to jewellery I’ve found some beautiful white pieces, including lovely floral earrings and brooches and pretty hairs bows too. I love bone china, milk glass and vintage plastics, as well as pearl and shell when I can find them.
What I love most about vintage clothing, is the quality of the fabrics and the way they are put together. I also love that most pieces I find were made in the UK, in the days before fast fashion. This is why I always source everything carefully myself locally, making it truly sustainable. Here are some of my favourite pieces from this collection.
Dresses
This beautiful white cotton dress, is probably an unlabelled Laura Ashley. I love the beautiful floral print and coordinating buttons. Size 16
This fabulous retro knit dress is by one of my favourite heritage brands California. Size 12
This lovely Laura Ashley dress is the perfect shade of green for this time of year. Size 6
This lovely pink cotton dress is by Nightingales, who made pretty classic floral dresses in the 80s and 90s. Size 16.
For a cute 1960s look, this gorgeous retro floral mini dress by Sidgreene is just perfect. Size 10-12
This lovely long white nightgown by Cobannau is made from the softest cotton. I love all the lovely crochet lace details. Size Medium.
This fabulous Laura Ashley Made in Wales dress from the early 1970s is absolutely stunning. Size 8.
I’ve had this fabulous green Laura Ashley dress on the shop for ages. And while all her friends have gone to new homes, she’s still waiting! This one is the perfect dress for wearing to Spring and summer events. Size 8.
Knits
This gorgeous cotton knit Laura Ashley jumper would look great dressed up or down with either a skirt or jeans. Size medium.
This simple white acrylic cardigan is a perfect extra layer on slightly chillier Spring days. Size Extra Large.
This cute floral jumper is giving cute cottagecore vibes. Size 14
Accessories
This gorgeous vintage petit point handbag with jade clasp, is one of my favourite recent finds. I’ve had a few similar ones in black, but I’ve never found a cream coloured one before. This would be a great bag to go to a garden party or wedding.
Jewellery
This lovely white flower pin would be perfect in a jacket level or to how d vintage scarf in place.
This beautiful pink and white milk glass necklace is the perfect compliment to a cute Spring outfit. SOLD
Another beautiful bone china china floral brooch. This one has a few chips and signs that it has been previously loved.
