Plans for May and Blogging Challenges

May 1, 2014

May is one of my favourite months of the year, spring is in full bloom, the sun comes out (sometimes) and at the end of the months it’s my wedding anniversary. I have so many great things planned for May including a few events which I will be writing about on the blog in the coming weeks – I can’t wait!

I’ve also signed up for a couple of challenges this month. Firstly Me Made May, which I attempted last year and failed miserably at. The challenge is hosted by Zoe, and the idea is to wear more of the clothes you’ve made yourself over the month of May. Most people make a pledge to wear something they have made or modified themselves every day in May. As that’s a little ambitious I’ve decided to aim for 3 days a week as I think I have just enough home-made clothes to get me through. I’ll try to do a little weekly round-up of my home-made outfits throughout the month so you can see what I’ve been wearing.

The second challenge, is Blog Everyday In May and is hosted by Rosalilium. This one really is a big challenge for me, as I have so much other stuff going on. However it will be great to have a good go at this and I plan to be really organised (i.e take a trip to Paperchase to buy stationary to plan on). There are some great post recommendations on the sign up page and I will definitely be using a few of them. Luckily I already have a lot planned blog-wise for May so hopefully I can achieve this ambitious goal.

Sponsor Vintage Frills:

I am also offering a few more advertising spaces this month, so if you have a blog or small business that you’d like to promote on Vintage Frills please get in touch. You can find out more about my stats and prices on my Sponsorship Page.

Guest Post on Vintage Frills:

I’d also love to hear from anyone who would like to write a guest post on the blog, I’ve never really done this before but I think it would be lovely to have some other bloggers featured here. So if you have an idea that you think my readers might like or something that you think would fit well on the blog please get in touch.

I hope everyone has a lovely May and that the rain goes away soon! Wish me luck with my challenges!

I’m glad you decided to sign up to Me Made May too, that green gingham skirt you made (saw it on your instagram) is too cute! Looking forward to reading your daily posts!
