I haven’t done an empties post for a whole year on here, so I thought it was high time I shared some of the products I’ve used and loved recently.
Black Cherry Yankee Candle:
This was a christmas present from my brother, and I’m sad it’s finished. I’ve burnt it loads and it’s lasted all this time. For those of you who don’t get the whole Yankee Candle thing, and wonder why they cost so much I have to say that they are worth every penny. The smells are all amazing and fill a room after just a few minutes burning. This particular one is perfect for all seasons and smells so delicious. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one and getting a few more scents. I recently bought my mum the Lemon and Lavender and the Fluffy Towels candles and love them too.
Treacle Moon Bath and Shower Gels:
These are available in Tesco and cost about £3 each. I always pick up a couple when I do my Tesco food shop. There is a huge range of scents and I’ve tried most of them. This month I’ve got through Warm Cinnamon Nights and Ice Cream Soda. You get a really large bottle and they create loads of lovely luxurious baubles. Both of these smell amazing and are great for comforting baths before bed. Next time I think i’ll pick up some of the fresher fruitier scents for the spring.
Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean:
I bought this lovely cleanser in the January sales and have used it most days. I usually remove my make-up with cold cream and then use this to get my face really clean. I apply a couple of pumps all over my face and then wash off with a muslin cloth. It smells absolutely beautiful and makes my skin feel squeaky clean, fresh and healthy. I love this one because it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. This will definitely be getting a re-purchase next month.
Along Came Betty Skin Tone Corrector:
I’ve talked about Tesco’s Along Came Betty Range quite a few times on the blog and I still love them as much as ever. They are fab products at affordable prices and I love the retro styling of the packaging. This product is applied before moisturiser. I use it both morning and night and it’s great for evening out skin tone and brightening the complexion. I’ve already bought a new bottle of this as it’s a great product which does everything it’s supposed to. I’d highly recommend this one.
Botanics Radiant Youth Protecting Day Cream:
This is another favourite for me. As I reach the end of my twenties my skin needs a little more care and attention than it used to. This is a great face cream with SPF and it protects and moisturises my skin without feeling heavy. As you can see the pot looks a bit battered, thats because I have taken this everywhere with me over the last few months. I was really sad to see the bottom of this pot and will be getting a new one as well as the night cream from the range next time I’m in Boots.
Nivea Creme:
I get though a small pot of this most months, I’ve reviewed it properly here. I absolutely love this product and use it as a night cream and hand cream. It’s so moisturising and although it’s quite heavy I feel like it works all night and my skin always feels great the next day.
I think that’s all the products I’ve actually finished this month and will be re-buying. I might also do a favourite’s post next week as I’ve tried loads of new things recently that I’m absolutely loving, so watch this space.

May 8, 2014 at 8:16 amThere are so many products that I am coming to the bottom of but by the time I do they head straight to the bin. I used to do empties posts but got out of practice! I guess I need to be more camera proactive! xx
