This week we’ve been doing a few of the little projects that we’ve been wanting to get done for ages. My husband is busy painting some furniture we bought a little while ago and I’ve been making a few things for the house. I started making a quilt for our sofa a few days ago and it’s coming along nicely. I used Moda pre cut patches which I’ve had for ages and use for little projects every now and then. It’s going to be quite big when I’ve finished but this is what I’ve done so far…
I bought a few cake stand kits from Ebay earlier this year, and I’ve managed to acquire loads of plates so we finally had a go at making one today using a special porcelain drill bit to make a hole in the plates. I think these pretty plates make a great cake stand, and I’ve ordered gold stand pieces to replace the silver as I think it will look better with these plates.
I hope you’ve all had a nice weekend, I’m off to the V&A tomorrow to see the Hollywood costume exhibition, very excited so look out for a bit on that later in the week.
Has anyone else made anything nice this week?
