Birthday Afternoon Tea

Today I turned 28, I can’t believe how quickly the last few years have gone. I’ve managed to get through the last few Decembers without actually doing anything special for my birthday and this year was looking like it was going to go the same way. But my lovely friends decided that we absolutely had to do something nice and organised the most lovely afternoon ever to celebrate. So on Sunday we headed over to my friend Tammy’s house where we made a start with a start with a cocktail and bubbly before heading to Four O Nine in Clapham for a fabulous afternoon tea.

The venue was beautiful with comfortable seating, vintage china and the most fabulous service. We were served cream teas, along with finger sandwiches and a fabulous selection of cakes. To drink we indulged in some champagne and an excellent selection of teas.

As the sun set and the daylight became candle light we relaxed and chatted and enjoyed all the wonderful food. I absolutely loved the decor and the cosy atmosphere. Despite being in a very busy area the restaurant which is accessed by a secret door and then up some stairs felt like it could be miles away from London it was so relaxed. I will absolutely be back for more.

So I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the wonderful staff who made our afternoon such a good one and my wonderful friends for organising the perfect treat for me. I had such a lovely day.

Today I have visited my mum, taken Lila for a Starbucks and relaxed in front of the TV which I never do. It’s been lovely. So all in all this has been such a perfect birthday and will be very hard to beat.
