My Week in Pictures 2

March 16, 2014

Last week I shared a few pictures from my week, I really like putting together little memories of what I’ve been up to. In a week full of washing cleaning and school runs, it’s nice to look back and realise how much fun stuff I’ve done and how much time I’ve spent with friends and family.

This week was lovely as the sun was out and the coat was nowhere to be seen. Here’s a few little things I got up to…

On Sunday the girls and I popped over to my Mum’s to celebrate her birthday with a little afternoon tea. My Dad and brother decorated the table really nicely and her cake was so pretty. It was a great afternoon all together and this is something I really want to do more often.

I made a start on the cross stitch set I was sent from Dot Com Gift Shop. It’s not nearly as easy as I thought it would be, but I’m really enjoying doing something relaxing and I’ve been listening to audio books while doing it.

Lila and I paid a little visit to the garden centre for lunch and to look at all the pretty flowers. I cannot wait to start planting things in my garden this year.

Apologies for posting a picture of my horrible feet, however there’s nothing quite like the joy of wearing sandals for the first time in months. I got one of my favourite pairs down from the top shelf of my wardrobe and dusted them of. I then realised I couldn’t drive in them so spent the rest of the day taking them on and off and driving bare foot!

I’ve been making an effort to eat as healthily as possible this week. I’ve also been going to the gym with Fay and really pushing myself. I feel so much better for it and it’s great to shake off the winter blues and go into Spring feeling amazing.

Yesterday Faye and I drove to Whitechapel to visit The East End Thrift Store’s pound shop. Basically it’s a huge vintage sale where everything is a pound. Although there is a lot of rubbish there I found quite a few great things and spent £28 in the end. It may not be a lot of money but I did bring home 28 things! Will have to sell a few bit’s on Ebay as I really don’t have room for any more clothes!

Following the exertion of thrift shopping we treated ourselves to a very indulgent ice cream at Afters in Tooting on the way home, sooooo good!!!!

Today was a simply beautiful day, the perfect day for a little trip to London….

Where we visited my very favourite event, The Classic Car Boot Sale. I met up with a few friends there, drank lot’s of Pimms, bought a new dress and filmed a blog which will be up on the blog next week.

I hope you’ve all had good weeks, are you enjoying the nice weather and have you been vintage shopping too?

That ice cream looks so, so lip-lickingly fantastic!!! I can’t wait for weather warm enough to feel the pull for frozen desserts again to strike here.

*PS* May I ask, did you use a program/app (and if so, which one) to create that collage of Instagram pictures or design it yourself in Photoshop (or the like)?

I used Pic Monkey to make the collage. I used to use Photoshop but prefer Pic Monkey now as its quicker. Xxx
