The sun is out again today, and I can’t help feeling summery. I’m now thinking ahead to warm summer months and trips to the seaside, and maybe even a little holiday. I love to wear cotton 50s style summer dresses in the warmer months, especially floral and novelty print ones.
Here are a few things that I would love to add to my wardrobe for the summer…
This outfit would be perfect for walks along the beach, you could slip the swimsuit into the straw bag and even take a little dip. I absolutely love the gorgeous seaside print.
Boden:
Nancy Dress – £89 (this currently has 20% off so is only £71)
Pointed Slingbacks – £69 (currently £55.20)
Audrey Shades – £59
Straw Bag – £39
Hoop Detail Swimsuit – £59
Being a complete Brighton obsessive I really really want this dress! I have similar dresses from Cath Kidston and I absolutely love the quality. I love the idea of teaming it with a cardi and plimsoles for strolling round the vintage shops in Brighton and having a little ice cream on the pier.
Cath Kidston:
Little Spot Plimsoles – £24
Canvas Tote – £45
Brighten Up Dress – £65
Vintage Stitch Cardigan – £55
Various Jewellery – £6 each
Have you started planning your summer wardrobes yet? What do you think of my choices?

March 14, 2014 at 11:19 amLove the Cath Kidston outfit, I ordered the Brighten up skirt but unfortunately it didn’t fit right or suit me 🙁 I think the cardigan is gorgeous too so my mum has knit me one! Love these outfit ideas and I can’t wait until I can bring out those pretty summer prints from deep in the wardrobe!!

March 16, 2014 at 4:45 pmSuch wonderfully lovely looks! The Nancy dress in particular really spoke to me, as it reminds me a great deal of many splendidly charming 1950s novelty print skirts that had similar travel destination type prints to them.
