The Captivated by You Sleepover

November 18, 2014

Last night Fay and I were treated to a lovely evening at the Ampersand Hotel in Kennsington to celebrate the launch of the new novel by Sylvia Day, Captivated by You. The book is the much antisipated fourth instalment of the hugely popular adult fiction Crossfire series. I will go into a lot more detail when I review the book in the next couple of days.

The event was a sleepover organised by the publishers where several bloggers were given a room in the beautiful hotel for the night with lot’s of lovely treats to get pampered while reading the book. As Fay is a nurse and works very long shifts we didn’t arrive until late in the evening and were back out at the crack of dawn so we didn’t manage to read the whole book but we read as much as we could and we’re absolutely loving it so far.

The room was lovely and filled with lot’s of lovely bath treats as well as bubbly to drink strawberries and chocolate to eat and of course room service. So we had a really great evening reading and relaxing.

Here are a few photos from our evening…

What a fun idea for a book launch! I’m not sure I would have got as much reading done though in such a lovely setting (and with some prosecco available…) P x

What a fabulously fun, creative, innovative way to launch a book and get bloggers involved with. I really hope this concept catches on and spreads to Canada. 🙂
