All the way back in July, I went to the Not On The High Street Christmas Press Day. At the time the big day seamed like a really long way away, but now with a matter of weeks to go, I’m feeling far more ready to share my highlights from the day.
NOTHS is the home of small brands and independent makers, the perfect place to pick up unique and beautifully made gifts and decorations. As I mentioned at the beginning of Blogmas, I want to buy the majority of my gifts from small businesses where possible, so this is a great place to start.
One of my favourite displays of the day, was this pretty place setting. The marbled cracker is absolutely gorgeous and who couldn’t fall in love with a quirky flamingo plate. That gold cutlery needs to find its way to my table all year round, definitely not just for Christmas.
There are also lots of personalised items. This signpost bauble was one of my favourites.
I took the kids along with me and they has a lot of fun looking at all the lovely toys. Lila Especially liked this personalised dolls house.
If you like traditional and wooded toys, there is so much to choose from. The wooden sushi is awesome!
There were gifts for anyone and everyone and it gave me lots of ideas. I liked all the interesting bath treats, including cocktail themes and festive snowflake soaps.
There was also lots of handcrafted jewellery, I loved these pieces made from metal, wood and plastic.
For those people who are impossible to buy for, I like the selection of food and drink and gifts. Who wouldn’t want to receive chocolate brussels spouts?!
I’d love a little family portrait like this one for Christmas (hint hint).
I hope this post has given you a few ideas. Do you have any favourite pieces?
See the full range on the Not On The High Street website.
