I’ve talked a lot on here about my favourite shoes for holidays and walks, as well as for special occasions. So I thought that for my latest collaboration with Hotter shoes, I’d talk about work shoes. I mostly wear vintage clothing or go for a classic retro look. So I’m always on the lookout for shoes that work well with the clothes I wear. I chose the Taylor heels, as I liked the classic 60s feel of them. I picked them in grey as I rarely wear black and thought they would be quite versatile. The shade is absolutely gorgeous.
I could wear them with anything from a 60s shift dresses to smart trousers and many vintage styles in between. I wore them this time with a vintage 60s skirt which I got at a charity shop and one of my favourite sweaters which I wear loads. This would be a great work outfit and the shoes would fit really well as part of capsule wardrobe.
The shoes are just as comfortable as you’d expect from Hotter. They come up true to size. As well as the lovely grey colour they also come in black. They’re definitely comfortable enough to wear all day. As a busy mum and full time blogger, I’m always out and about and on my feet. So comfort always comes first and being able to get something I like which is practical too is definitely a bonus.
As I’ve mentioned a few times recently I’m trying to buy fewer clothes and use what I have more. I’m trying to build a capsule wardrobe using my vintage pieces and some of my favourite high street clothes that I already own. Choosing accessories and shoes that work well with as many outfits as possible, is a great way to maximise your wardrobe. I love how classic these shoes look and I can’t wait to style them with more my clothes.
The heel is low enough to make the shoes comfortable and supportive, while still giving a more formal look. I absolutely love the shape and style and I’m hoping they come in more colours in the future, I’d love them in brown or navy too. Here are a few of my other favourite work shoes from Hotter:
