Mothers day is upon us again and it’s my 13th year as a mummy! I love that there is a special day to celebrate our mothers, grandmothers and mother figures. A few weeks ago I was invited to a special day hosted by Moonpig to celebrate the important women in our lives. We were invited to bring our mothers or a special women in our life along to have a fun afternoon tea and try some fun activities.
The event took place at Moonpig’s gorgeous offices in London and included activities such as cocktail making, flower arranging, afternoon tea and a Photo Booth to make our own mothers day cards. I’m a little late getting this post up as it’s been a difficult couple of weeks for us as a family, but I hope this will give you some inspiration to celebrate. Moonpig also have a Sunday delivery, so there is actually still time to order flowers and get them delivered in time if you’re quick!
The event started with a lovely welcome cocktail. I absolutely love apple and rhubarb flavours and this one was absolutely delicious. I may need to get my hands on the recipe for this one.
We got a chance to have a look at some of the lovely gifts, cards and flowers that Moonpig are offering for Mothers Day and there were so many fab ideas. I love the idea of sending a cute personalised card and a gorgeous bouquet.
We then got to see a presentation about Moonpig and Mothers Day and the unveiling of their Mother’s Day advert, which was absolutely lovely. It was all about love starting with Mum.
It was then on to cocktail making. Here’s me and my lovely mum having a go.
We all settled down for a lovely afternoon tea, which was of course absolutely delicious. the tables were decorated with some of the lovely flowers from Moonpig’s Mother’s Day range.
It was then on to the Photo Booth, there were lots of fun props, but we decided to just get a nice pic of the two of us to put onto our personalised card.
We used our photo to design our own lovely Mother’s Day card, which promptly arrived in the post the following day. The process was so quick and easy. We had a lovely personalised card in just a couple of minutes. The delivery time was so quick too.
The final activity was flower arranging, we learnt all about how to care for and arrange your Moonpig flowers once they arrive and also got to take our gorgeous bouquets home with us. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and my bunch stayed gorgeous for nearly two weeks at home, which was amazing.
Here they are looking absolutely stunning. I was so impressed with the freshness, quality and variety of flowers, they smelt absolutely divine too.
Then it was time to go home, with our goodie bags and flowers in tow. I loved seeing all the gorgeous gifts and flowers that Moonpig offer alongside their amazing range of cards. I’m looking forward to using their service more, not just for mothers day but for lots of different special occasions throughout the year.
