One of my goals for May is to get lots of new listings up on my vintage Etsy shop. I mostly sell vintage jewellery and accessories as well as a few items of vintage clothing. A recent addition to the shop is a lovely vintage hair clip collection.. These are all dead stock items dating from the 40s, 50s and 60s and most come on their original cardboard packaging. I’m absolutely loving all the cute hair accessories on the high street at the moment, but to me there’s nothing like owning and wearing an original vintage piece.
I thought I’d share a few of my favourites on here, as well as showing you how I’ve been wearing one of them that I kept aside for myself. I’ve kept the prices really low for these at around £2 per clip, perfect for mixing and matching and building a little collection.
This 1960s vintage hair clip features a cute floral design, perfect for summer.
I love this adorable bow vintage hair clip. It’s quite small, so perfect for styling up a simple hair style, with a subtle touch of fun.
I am completely in love with the packaging on this sweet brown bow. Definitely one to keep on display.
Another cute white vintage hair clip, I’m going to be wearing these ones a lot over the summer.
This lovely floral set of hair clips from the 60s feature a pretty rose motif.
Another vintage hair clip with absolutely gorgeous packaging. Perfect for wearing with pretty vintage summer dresses. I absolutely love this colour.
And lastly a pretty in pink bow hair clip. My girls have got their eye on these ones!
I’m wearing a pair of red bow clips here, I love wearing two at a time and matching the colours with my lipstick and outfit. these cost £3.50 for a set of two, but don’t feature vintage packaging.
In other exciting news I’m also working on a hair accessory range of my own. It will feature some gorgeous vintage fabrics that I’ve stashed away for a while. They should be ready in the next couple of months, so watch this space for more details.
You can find the full range of vintage hair accessories over on my Etsy shop. I’ll be adding new pieces every week, so be sure to follow the shop for updates.
