*This post is part of a paid partnership with Hotter shoes. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for the change in seasons than I have been this Spring. Lets face it, it was a very long and boring winter! Every year I get very excited to change up my wardrobe and get out and about more and this year more than ever I’m looking forward to seeing my favourite people outdoors, getting dressed up and making the most of life. My outfits for little trips outdoors usually feature my favourite dresses and some comfy shoes, so I can get my steps in, while also feeling and looking my best. Today I’m sharing a brand new pair of comfortable sandals that were recently sent to me by Hotter Shoes They’re the perfect addition to my wardrobe and they are definitely going to see me through lots of adventures and keep my feet comfortable on lots of lovely outings.
This time I chose the gorgeous Tourist II Sandals. I choose them in a beautiful gold colour, which is super versatile and goes with almost everything. I’m a big fan of metallic toned shoes as they are quite neutral and go with almost anything, while still looking really pretty. It’s also really easy to pair them up with jewellery and accessories in similar tones. As well as looking very lovely these sandals keep my feet happy too. They are made from the most super soft leather, making them instantly comfortable to wear without being worn in. They have a memory foam orthotic insole which really helps to support my feet all day, making them an absolutely perfect shoe for me.
I wore them this week for a little walk in some local woods. The blue bells are just beginning to open up and the first signs that the forest is about to turn blue were everywhere. Getting out in nature always relaxes me and gives me a welcome break from working from home and looking after the kids all day. For me getting out and getting a bit of exercise is such an essential part of my routine and is absolutely essential self care. I always feel so much better when a walk is part of my everyday routine.
I have a long list of pretty places that are near me where I like to go and explore. I live in a busy London suburb, but I’m lucky to have lots of green spaces nearby where I can breath in the fresh air, hear the birdsong and just get some calm time away from other people. Sometimes I like to go out with my family or get a friend to join me on my walk, but sometimes alone time is exactly what I need.
For this little walk in the woods with my husband I wore one of my favourite dresses. This comfy dress was actually a high street buy, which reminded me of 70s Indian cotton dresses and was such a great addition to my wardrobe. It’s so easy to wear and I think it goes so well with my new sandals. This was such a quick throw together outfit, which suits my busy life and works for almost anywhere.
The sandals really passed the test of their first outing and were comfortable from the moment I put them on for the first time. The adjustable straps and little hidden elastic on the buckle make them really easy to get the perfect fit and the orthotic insole made my feet feel really supported on our walk.
I went for my usual size 6, as I always do with Hotter shoes and they were just right. So I’d recommend going for your usual size. I chose the standard width, which was just right on my feet. They are also available in a wide fit and a narrow fit. The Hotter website has a handy tool where you can submit your foot measurements and help you find the right fit for your feet, which is really helpful.
I can’t wait to get out and about more and enjoy lots of sunshine, fresh air, good company and beautiful views as the weather continues to get more lovely every day. I’ll definitely be wearing my sandals a lot this year, in fact I don’t really want to take them off!
What are you most looking forward to doing this year? Are you going anywhere nice or do you have anything special planned?
