I’m a bit of a vintage treasure seeker, I love a rummage and I’m always on the look out for gorgeous vintage things to add to my collections. As well as having a big collection fo vintage clothes, I also love to collect accessories. I also have lots of pretty pieces available on Vintage Frills Shop.
Vintage Bags
Vintage bags are a great addition to any collection, because they are something we can use over and over again and they last for years. Whether it’s a beautiful clutch bag for the evening or a larger more versatile bag for day time, there’s a vintage bag for every occasion.
Just a few of my collection of vintage Enid Collins bags. I’ve actually downsized and sold a few of these now, as I love to collect a certain thing and then move on!
A few of the lovely bags from Vintage Frills Shop, some of these are still available and a few have already gone to new homes.

Earrings
I don’t have my ears pierced anymore, so when I do want to wear some fabulous statement vintage earrings, I usually opt for clip ons. I love bold vintage designs such as fruit earrings and cluster earrings.
Look out for gorgeous novelty floral and fruit earrings.
To find out more about vintage earrings, see my previous post The A-Z of Vintage – C is for Clip-on Earrings which goes into a lot more detail about different types of vintage earrings.
I’m hoping to pick up some more for the shop soon, as they always sell out so quickly. But here a couple of new additions that I added to the shop last week.
These lovely carved celluloid daisy earrings are currently available in the shop.
These sweet little vintage clog earrings are also available in the shop at the moment.

Brooches
I have such a love of vintage brooches. Even though I don’t wear them very often I often display them around the house on trinket dishes or just spend ages admiring my collection. Brooches make the perfect finishing touch to outfits on the lapel of a jacket, to enhance a simple dress or worn to fasten a scarf.
I have a bit of an obsession with floral brooches. I particularly love reverse carved lucite, bone china and dried flower brooches and I am always adding pretty floral brooches to the shop as well as my own collection.
I also collect embroidered brooches and at one point my one collection had over 100 in it! I’ve since downsized to only keep the more quirky and unusual ones, including all of the ones above. To read more about vintage brooches you can read my post – The A-Z of Vintage – B is For Vintage Brooches
Here are some recent additions to the shop…
This huge carved celluloid daisy brooch is just gorgeous! And she matching the daisy earrings I posted above perfectly!
I’ve also added this gorgeous crinoline lady embroidered brooch. the colours on this one are just so lovely!

Scarves
Scarves are such a great addition to a vintage collection. Wear them in your hair, round your neck or tie them to the strap of your favourite bag, they are so versatile.

Gloves
I adore vintage gloves, we definitely don’t wear gorgeous formal gloves as much as we used to and I think we need to bring them back. For serious vintage wearers, who want a more authentic look, gloves are an absolute must.
Full length opera gloves are just so glamorous, I recently sold this beautiful pink lace pair on the shop.
I have lots of pretty everyday formal gloves on the shop, including this pretty pink pair.
For colder weather cosy knitted gloves are perfect and there’s no need to buy new when there are so many great vintage ones out there. These deadstock gloves remind me of Bernie Sanders’ infamous mittens! I still have one blue pair left in the shop.

Compacts and Mirrors
I always have a vintage Stratton compact mirror in my handbag for checking my lipstick. There are so many beautiful designs out there.
This adorable embroidered mirror is now sold, isn’t the design lovely.
This vintage plastic compact is still available on the shop.
Hair Accessories
I love adding bright and colourful vintage hair accessories to my outfits. They’re a fun affordable way to add some vintage accessories to your collection.
I wear this sweet yellow and white flower clip all the time in lots of different ways. It’s so pretty and cheerful.
I am lucky enough to have got my hands on lots of deadstock vintage hair clips for my shop over the years and have sent literally hundreds off to new homes.
I’ve just added these cute pink plastic hair slides to the shop.
I love the packaging on these pretty velvet hair bow bobby pins, which are currently available on the shop.

Bangles
Bangles are one of my favourite accessories for vintage outfits. I have so many different colours in my collection and I love to stack them up in different combinations to match what I’m wearing.
These blue ones really set off the colours of my dress and bring out the blue jewels on my Enid Collins bag.
It’s taken me years to amass my collection of vintage bakelite bangles and I am always on the lookout for more.
Here I’ve stacked some of my bakelite spacer bangles with some vintage bamboo bangles.
I’ve just added this pretty green bangle to the shop.

Hats
I don’t wear hats as often as I’f like to as I have a big head and can hardly ever find ones that fit! I do love a pretty straw hat in summer to keep the sun off my face.
This straw hat isn’t a vintage one, but I was so happy to find one that fit!
This pretty 30s straw hat that I sold last year had the prettiest little rose detail.
Another pretty straw hat that I have sold on the shop.
I don’t have any hats available on the shop at the moment, but watch this space as I’m sure I’ll be able to manage to source some more soon.
