I have such a weakness for all things Cath Kidston. If like me you’re addicted to pretty dresses, gorgeous fun prints and classic vintage inspired styles, then its all very hard to resist. I’ve seen a few things I’ve been coveting for a while that have now gone into the sale, so I thought I’d put together a wishlist of some of my favourite pieces.

Fashion: I already have a really big thing for Cath Kidston dresses, but the seperates are gorgeous too. I’d love to wear the cardigans over original vintage dresses.

Accessories: You really can’t have too many pretty handbags and those shoes would go so well with dresses.

As I mentioned in yesterdays blog post, one of the main things I want to do on the blog this year is share more of my vintage inspired outfits. It’s nice to have an incentive to get dressed up everyday and I love wearing all the lovely clothes in my wardrobe and making sure they all get worn. Today I put on a dress from Lindy Bop which I bought in the sale a few weeks ago. Luckily it’s still available and reduced to just £20.99, so if you’re looking for a winter dress at a bargain price then this might be what you’re looking for.

Lindy Bop Daria Dress Review

Today was a typical English wet and windy day and Rob and I braved the cold for a few minutes to get a few shots of my outfit in the garden. I paired the lovely tartan dress with an old belt and my Clarks Orla Kiely shoes which I blogged about a couple of weeks ago.

I don’t own that many dresses which work well in winter. I’m always drawn to pretty, bright floral summer dresses and never really buy dark colours. I chose this dress because I knew it work work well in the winter worn with tights and a cardi. The dress is made from a lovely soft brushed cotton and reminds me of flannel shirts. I love the simple 50s shapes and the cute scalloped detail around the neckline.

Lindy Bop Daria Sale Dress

Lindy Bop sizing can really differ from dress to dress and this one comes up a little bigger than most. I bought my usual size 14 and it fits really comfortably. I like that theres loads of room in the bust and I had no pulling or squatting at all. I’m 5’6″ and worn with a full petticoat the dress sits just below the knee on me, making it the perfect length.

The dress also comes in a selection of other prints, many of which are also in the sale at the moment. It is also available in kids sizes.

Do you struggle to find vintage inspired winter outfits? Do you have any tips for creating great winter looks?

As I never tire of telling you all, I’m a big fan of Lindy Bop. I adore their huge selection of vintage inspired dresses and I love the affordability. I wear their dresses on days when real vintage pieces would be too fragile (pretty much every day out with kids). I was a little bit excited and very worried about my bank balance, when I saw that they’d launched their biggest sale ever. So many of the items I’ve been coveting are now at ridiculously low prices and I have to confess I’ve already made a big order!

Lindy Bop Kelly Paradise Review
The gorgeous tropical print Kelly dress which I reviewed earlier this year is now reduced to £24.49

Lindy Bop Sale Marlene Blue Floral Dress
It’s hard to choose favourite dresses, as I like so many but I think the Ophelia (£16.09) and Marlene (£24.49) in gorgeous shades of blue would look beautiful in any wardrobe.

Lindy Bop Review Vintage Frills
All three of the dresses we reviewed this summer are now in the sale, so lovely little girls don’t need to miss out either. The Joy dress worn by me is now  £24.49 and the kid’s Audrey dresses are now just £10.49 each.

Lindy Bop Sale Marlene Banana Leaf Dress
One of the things that made it into my basket was the Malene dress (£24.49) in the banana leaf print, I’ve wanted it for ages and I can’t wait to try it on. The Tara in teal (£20.99) is the perfect dress for wearing all year round and is a real classic.

Lindy Bop Sale
I’m liking all the gorgeous shades of blue, although there are dresses in laterally every colour available in the sale. The Courtney Floral dress (£20.99) could be put away to bring out in the spring. The lovely Wedgwood blue of the polka dot Hannah dress (£20.99) really caught my eye. I love the classic cut of the dress.

There are literally hundreds of things to choose from in the sale. I picked up a few skirts and a couple of evening dresses to see me through the winter, as well as some lovely new dresses. I’ll try to post up a haul as soon as they arrive.

Check out the full range of sale items on the Lindy Bop website.

As a huge fan of vintage clothing, wearing the right lingerie is an absolute must. Vintage dresses look so much better worn with the shape of lingerie they were made to fit over. I absolutely love What Katie Did, who make the most fabulous vintage inspired lingerie. I’ve mentioned them a couple of times on here before, but I was delighted to discover that they have just added a few items to their sale. Including lingerie sets, corsets, Bernie Dexter dresses and Miss L Fire shoes. Sadly the bra I wanted is sold out in my size. But I’m very tempted to pick up a pair of shoes.

I picked a few of my favourite bit’s from the sale. Firstly the lingerie below which would look perfect under a vintage dress, giving that perfect silhouette. They also have a few seconds stockings available which would come in very handy for everyday wear. I was really sad that they didn’t have my size left in this as I would have bought it all. They do still have loads of other sizes in stock so it’s definitely worth a look.

Fetique Corselette – £39.75

Fetique Cone Bra – £19.75

Seconds Stockings – £6.00

Fetique Knickers – £13.75

Fetique Girdlette – £17.75

If you’re looking for something other than lingerie, there a few lovely reproduction vintage items from the fabulous Bernie Dexter and some stunning vintage style shoes. I’ve wanted the Pandora in red for so long and missed out on getting my size in the sale. Next time I’ll act faster! I Have spotted another pair that I think I’m going to buy though.

Pencil Skirt – No Longer Available

Wiggle Dress – £75.00

Swing Dress – £75.00

Rosita Shoe – £49.50

Pandora Shoe – No Longer Available

Since these sales don’t happen very often it’s always worth snapping up a bargain. I’m off to choose a pair of shoes and some stockings. Happy shopping!
