I was recently sent this beautiful dusting and powder brush by The Vintage Cosmetic Company. I have used a few of their products before including their gorgeous false lashes and the best pair of tweezers I’ve ever owned. I was really excited to give this brush a try.
Firstly the packaging is just beautiful and really appeals to the floral addict in me. I liked the packaging so much, that part of me didn’t want to take the brush out of it! This would make a fantastic gift as it is so beautifully presented, even if it is just a little gift to yourself!
The brush itself looks really classy with a glossy cream handle, on one side it conveniently says what the brush is for and on the other side it says The Vintage Cosmetic Company. I love that the handle is really long as it looks great in my brush pot and makes the brush super easy to use.
The brush itself is made using natural bristles and is very soft. It’s also very thick so it picks up lot’s of powder for a very even application. It is one of the smoothest powder brushes I’ve used and feels absolutely lovely on the skin.
The smoothness and thickness really helps to create an even flawless finish with very little effort and could be used for your normal everyday powder or a light dusting of bronzer. I’ve been using it for the last few days to finish my make up off with a fine layer of powder and I’ve been really happy with the results.
Because the brush is quite large it would also be great for applying a shimmer or bronzer to other parts of the body so if you’d like a little shimmer across your shoulders and décolletage then this brush would be ideal.
So far I’ve not experienced and shedding of bristles which is my pet hate with make-up brushes, so for that alone this ones a winner for me.
Trying this brush has definitely made me keen to try the rest of the range which includes a wide array or proffessional standard brushes for all types of make-up. I was really impressed all round with this product and it will definitely be something I use day to day.
Here’s what it says on the box…
You can pick up the brush here.
Have you ever tried anything by The Vintage Cosmetic Company? What did you think?

February 18, 2014 at 11:22 pmLovely review! I have this brush as well (my sweet sister gave me some of this company’s brushes for Christmas last year) and seriously adore it well. Much like yourself, I haven’t experienced any noticeable shedding yet, which is always greatly appreciated with reasonably priced makeup brushes.

February 19, 2014 at 6:04 pmI haven’t tried anything by the Vintage Cosmetic Company – I think I will now – looks very cool. (I did a vintage photo shoot awhile back and this would’ve been a great asset for it.)

Although this brush and their Nancy lashes come a close second.
