Birmingham Fashion Week Part One

March 1, 2014

This weekend Fay and I had a little mini break in Birmingham for their Fashion Week[end]. The event consists of two evenings of champagne and fashion shows, from a mixture of British designers and some from as far afield as Norway and Argentina.

The showroom also played host to a few beauty and fashion companies and much to my delight a little vintage company.

I’m going to cover the event in a bit more detail later in the week as I did lot’s of filming and will be putting a little vlog together when I’m not trying to cope with hotel wifi! So today I thought I’d share some pictures of the very pretty little vintage stall from What Alice Found.

There was such a cute range of pretty colours, that’s why I always gravitate towards vintage, because I’m still a little girl at heart! This range really appealed to the princess in me with lot’s of beautiful textures including metallics, silks and sequins and plenty of dreamy shades of pink.

While we’re on the subject of pink I wore one of my favourite 1960s dresses. I’ve worn this one quite a few times, and it’s just the most beautiful dress. The only bad thing about it, as you can see from my pictures is that it creases really easily and after sitting through a few hot fashion shows it and I were looking a little worse for wear!

Fay also wore vintage last night and sported her fabulous vintage coat which was a Wimbledon Car Boot Sale purchase. I was extremely jealous of this fabulous find. It’s made of tweed with pretty purple trim on the pockets and of such good quality that it reminds me that they don’t make clothes like they used to!

We’re heading back to the beautiful venue tonight for more fashion fabulousness and then back to London on Sunday. Look out for more fashion week posts and lot’s more vintagey stuff next week.

That looks like such a blast! I really like your pink 60s frock. That shade is warm, sweet and so lovely with your dark locks.
