Some Home Treats from Dot Com Gift Shop

March 10, 2014

A few weeks ago I posted a little Dot Com Gift Shop wish list, and the lovely people at DCGS decided to gift me a few items to try out for the blog. I think these would make amazing Mothers Day gifts or just something nice to brighten up the house.

1. Baking Cases – 2. Cross Stitch Kit – 3. Cake Tins

What beautiful little selection, I was happy to receive all these and absolutely love them.

As an avid baker I had my eye on these pretty baking cases for a while. They are so pretty and perfect for mini lemon drizzle cakes or banana bread. The one thing I would say with these is that they need to be placed inside a similar sized baking tray to help them keep their shape while baking. I used one to make some banana bread and its looked great. The quality is fantastic and they are yet another thing that appeals to the floral addict in me! I will definitely be reordering these. These cost £3.95 for a set of 6.

Another thing I’ve wanted for ages was these pretty floral cake tins. I love tins mostly for keeping bits and bobs in and will probably be using these for either keeping cake decorating tools in or for some of my sewing things. They would also be great for storing make-up or even cakes!

Again I was really happy with the quality of these and having looked at similar items on the high street, these are a real bargain at only £12.95

Lastly I just loved this gorgeous little embroidery set. It reminds me of the little antique samplers my Nan had in her house. I also liked the colour scheme so I’m going to get this stitched up and framed at add it to my living room wall. It looks pretty simple and I’m looking forward to settling down with a cup of tea and putting a film on in the background while doing this. I’ll try to do a little post when it’s finished so you can see if I managed it OK. This is another bargain at £3.95.
