It been absolutely forever since I did a My Week in Pictures post, mostly because my life is not nearly as interesting as my blog would imply. I do however like to look back at everything I’ve done. Even the little things so I might start up this weekly tradition again. What do you think?
This probably isn’t the best week to have chosen as most of it has been spent doing errands, school runs and housework but there were also a few highlights!
On Monday morning Lila and I went to Hobbycraft and Ikea to pick up supplies for an ancient Greek costume I needed to make Jess for a dress up day at school. In the afternoon I met up with Fay as I hadn’t seen her in ages. We went to Bill’s in Epsom and had the most lovely late lunch. I tried the hummus and halloumi burger and it was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be going back there soon to try the rest of the menu. In the evening I wrote letters to my 6 new pen pals.
On Tuesday morning I had my hair coloured. I’ve gone for a darker more purple shade and I’m so happy with it. It’s nice to have good hair again as my roots were getting out of hand! In the afternoon I popped into London for a couple of hours. I went to the Phase Eight AW15 press day and I loved everything, especially the fur coat I’ve pictured. In the evening I started work on the Greek costume.
On Wednesday I ran errands all morning and remade Jess’s costume as it was too big (I stayed up until 1 making it. Arrrgh the things we do for our kids). I also finished reading The Vintage Guide to Love and Romance which I reviewed here.
On Thursday Jess loved her costume thankfully! I spent the rest of the day doing really boring housework and running errands. After school we went back to Hobbycraft to get supplies for yet another school costume (If you want sleep and an easy life don’t have kids) I stayed up really late again making Jess a dance costume for careers day at school, she wants to be a dancer at the moment!
On Friday Rob took some outfits pictures for me in the garden and it took ages because I kept stopping to have cuddles with Lila!
This weekend has been spent packing for our holiday as we’re off the the Isle of Wight tomorrow and it’s my 7th wedding anniversary. So hopefully next week will be filled with sunshine and beaches!
So this week mostly consisted of making costumes and cleaning my house! I actually had to cancel a couple of blog events as I had too much to do at home. It was a very happy week though and I’m glad I focussed so much on mummy stuff!
