Today I was looking back through my Instagram and at some of the outfits I’ve worn this year. Most of the year I’ve done a really good job of recording all my outfits. The last couple of months have been so crazy that I’ve not done it so much. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourites and look back on what I wore this year. Sorry this is a really long post!
I love this pink Laura Ashley dress, it has long sleeves and is pretty warm for the colder months. I don’t wear hats very often, but this felt Primark hat is one of my winter favourites. See the full look in my review of the dress.
Another favourite Laura Ashley dress, this floral pink retro dress, made me fall in love with 70s style flow dresses. I’ve bought quite a few similar things since. I also reviewed this dress on the blog.
This lovely cherry print dress from Joanie Clothing, got a lot of wear last winter. I’ll be giving it a lot of wear again this winter, its such a classic easy to wear dress.
In recent years I’ve been a bit obsessed with TU Clothing at Sainsburys and have bought A LOT of dresses. This is one of my favourites, I love the vintage inspired print.
I wore this green original vintage dress for a day out at Kew Gardens with some friends. I got it from Beyond Retro and I just love the beautiful colour.
This beautiful original vintage Horrockses dress dates from 1948. It’s such a beautiful dress and a real treasure to me. See the full outfit post and find out more about Horrockses in my blog post.
This lovely vintage dress was an Ebay find, I really love the colours and print. I wore it for a day out in Greenwich with my brother.
This green 1950s had been lurking in my repair pile for a very long time. I finally managed to wear it agin this summer.
I wore my beautiful fruit print vintage Swirl dress quite a lot this year. It is very fragile and is not in very good shape at the moment, so it’s gone into the repair pile until I can give it some much needed TLC.
This wonderful dress from Palava was a new addition to my wardrobe this summer. It is beautifully and ethically made from organic cotton and features beautiful illustrations. See my full review on the blog.
I wore this original 1940s dress with my lovely Flair sandals from Hotter. the dress was a bargain £5 car boot find. See the full outfit post on the blog.
I wore my Cath Kidston Winnie the Pooh dress for a lovely trip to Margate with friends. I wore this straw hat from Primark a lot over the summer.
Another beautiful Cath Kidston dress – the London Parks dress was a gift from Rob. I’m wearing it here with casual Converse for a walk around the lavender fields.
My all time favourite 1950s dress got quite a few wears this summer. Here I’ve worn it with my lovely Miss L Fire shoes for a visit to Chartwell.
I wore this lovely colourful 50s dress to The Classic Car Boot Sale in Hastings, doesn’t Fay look lovely in her Collectif skirt too.
I wore this lovely maxi dress from Peacocks so much this summer. It’s such an easy to wear style, I’m going to pick up some more from there next year. I saw a few at their press day that I’ve got my eye on.
These Collectif dungarees are perfect for days out with the kids. I wore them a lot over the summer holidays.
I managed to get this lovely dress from Palava for an absolute steal in their last sample sale. Their dresses just can’t be beaten on quality.
This embroidered dress from Peacocks is one of my favourites of the year. It looks so much more expensive than it actually was. I wore it for my friend’s birthday in the summer and again for my own birthday last weekend.
I took a lovely trip to Bath with Rob at the end of the summer. One of my outfits was this lovely original 1950s dress, worn here with a vintage belt and hotter sandals.
This Palava dress got another wear for a trip to Hampstead Heath with my brother and the girls.
I wore lots of casual mum outfits over the summer, this was one of my favourites. The t shirt is from Peacocks and the skirt is a very old Primark one that I got for a couple of pounds on eBay.
I wore this original 70s dress for a press view at the National Gallery. This is another dress that I wear all the time, but I don’t think I’ve featured at all on the blog. It was a bargain £1 purchase at a car boot sale.
I’ve worn all my Disney Cath Kidston dresses a lot this year, but this Peter Pan one has to be one of the best dresses I’ve bought this year. You can see my whole collection in this post.
I had a lovely day out at Hampton Court with Rob a few weeks ago. I wore this beautiful gingham dress from Dolly and Dotty. Read my review of the dress and see more pics on the blog.
This is such a typical outfit for when I’m being a mum not a blogger! I’m wearing my Cath Kidston Pets Party dress, a denim jacket from Peacocks, a vintage belt and Hotter shoes. this was for a fun day in the park with the kids.
Lastly another casual outfit from me (unless I’m in gym clothes or an emergency school run leggings outfit, this is as casual as I usually get) I’m wearing a vintage 70s dress and belt, with my Peacocks jacket and converse.
Which outfit do you like best? Is there one you’ve seen me in this year that I’ve not included? I promise to post more of what I’ve been wearing on the blog over the next few months, I’ve just been VERY busy with the kids and looking after myself recently.
You can see more of what I wore in the outfits section of the blog. There are also absolutely loads more outfits on my Instagram.
