I absolutely love making plans for summer, when the sun comes out I just want to get outdoors. Whether it’s visiting a stately home or garden or heading to the seaside, I like to take the kids to as many places as possible. I have quite a few little day trips and a couple of mini breaks planned. As well as making sure the girls have everything they need, I’ve also been thinking about what I’ll be wearing. I like to plan in advance and work out what clothes and accessories I want to wear. When Hotter asked me to write about their summer shoes I thought it would be fun to plan some of my summer outfits around some of my lovely collection of Hotter shoes.
Summer Holiday Outfits with Hotter Shoes
Hotter shoes are designed with comfort in mind and are perfect for people like me, who are never off their feet. I have a few of their heels. But for the summer holidays I’m all about comfy flats that will carry my feet wherever I need to go. I have lots of different colours to go with different outfits. I definitely like to be true to my own style and wear things that I love and that make me happy. I love vintage influenced, but also love just having fun with pretty colourful clothes.
Why fit in when you were born to stand out?
I absolutely love the colour pink, but don’t have many pink clothes. I love add accents to outfits with pretty pink accessories. The Flare sandals in this pretty pink and cream shade are perfect for fresh feminine outfits. I wear my big straw hat non stop on the summer and my white sunglasses are really easy to mix and match with different coloured accessories. I’d wear these with white and cream dresses or just to dress up a plain t shirt and shorts outfit. Of course I can’t forget my favourite book, I’m hoping to get a little reading in over the summer!
You are Doing Good!
I have worn my gold Sol sandals almost non stop over the last two summers, they are my favourite sandals ever. I thought it would be great to get them in another colour, there are lots of shades available, but I thought the white pair would be really handy and versatile. I’ve put them with a cute polka dot dress and fun girlie accessories. I’ll be taking lots of Instax pics on our travels, so I have to look my best!
Be the Girl Who Decided to Go For It!
I love wearing casual shoes with pretty vintage dresses, to dress them down a bit and make them more suitable for every day wear. The Mabel shoes are really versatile and go with so many different things. I’ve kept it simple with a straw cowboy hat and a lovely vintage horse brooch, for a classic American country inspired look. Magazines are essential holiday packing, if you don’t have time to read a whole book, you can just dip in and out of a magazine.
Think Happy Thoughts
This 70s dress is one of my absolute favourites and as you can see my brown Flare sandals have also had a lot of wear this summer. I’ve paired them with some earthy toned accessories and some big sunglasses. The big straw bag is my biggest vintage bag and is perfect for days out with the girls as I can fit so much into it. This outfit makes me so happy as it contains such lovely vintage pieces that work perfectly with the addition of the shoes.
You are my Sunshine
I adore colour and the brighter my outfit the more summery and cheerful I feel. I love clashing tones and mixed prints for bold and beautiful outfits. This is one of my favourite combos. The Resort sandals from Hotter and perfect for slipping on and I love the cheery leopard print design. I have also worn this outfit with my gold Sol sandals which are great for walking long distances.
My final outfit is inspired by the 1950s, although I had to throw in the fun 60s brooch as well. The Hallie shoes have all the prettiness of more formal shoes, while still being every bit as comfortable as my other Hotter shoes. I’ve paired them with this lovely full skirt and some classic sunglasses, for an eye catching eccentric summer look. I can’t wait to wear this one on my travels.
Which is your favourite outfit and which Hotter shoes do you have your eye on?
