Fashion Outfit of The Day

In December We Wear Red #Blogmas

December 8, 2018

I mentioned in my last outfit post, how much I’m enjoying finding clothes in my wardrobe to match the season. It makes me feel really festive and happy wearing clothes that make me feel Christmassy. While I was sorting out my clothes the other day I stumbled upon this cute smock dress. This was another car boot sale find and I haven’t worn it nearly enough.

The dress isn’t my usual style, as I usually wear things that nip in at the waist a bit more. But I actually really love this dress on. It’s so comfortable and like most 70s dresses, I really love the shape of the sleeves. It also has lovely big pockets. The dress cost me a couple of quid and is in fab condition and beautifully made. It just goes to show that you can try new styles and have lots of lovely clothes without spending a fortune on fast fashion.

I’ve really been enjoying going for walks in Morden Hall park at the moment. The park is gorgeous all year round, but I especially love it when it’s looking all festive and wintery.

All the pretty buildings, stables and cottages are dressed for the season and the views of the river and mill are absolutely gorgeous.

It’s all looking ridiculously photogenic and I could spend all day taking snaps here. You can expect a lot of outfit pics to be taken here for the next few weeks!

I’m looking at some of their festive events and activities too and might go to a few of them.

I’m definitely enjoying the simple pleasures in life at the moment. The excitement of Christmas, all the beautiful places that are near enough to visit and gorgeous vintage dresses are all making me very happy right now.

I think this is a very flattering style on you. I love empire waistlines, particularly now I’ve got a post-baby tummy to hide!
