Today I went for a little walk in Kensington, just south of Notting Hill. It’s a lovely area for a little photo walk and it’s full of colourful doors and houses. This time I was on the lookout for pretty festive wreaths and I saw so many gorgeous ones. Here are a few of my favourites.
For this walk I usually get the District Line to High Street Kensington and walk up Kensington Church Street. If you weave in and out of the roads to your left you’ll find lots of fab houses to photograph.
As you get closer to Notting Hill, the houses get less grand, but a whole lot cuter. Expect lots of brightly coloured doors and lovely railing with bikes top against them. You may even spot the odd classic car. It’s even more fun at this time of year, as some of the Christmas decorations people have chosen are absolutely lovely.
Whoever owns this adorable pink door, has the best taste in wreaths! How awesome and quirky is this? Definitely my favourite door of the day.
I loved this classy green wreath against this purple door, it looks perfect next to their lovely olive tree too.
Some of my favourite London streets to photograph are the ones off Hillgate Place, just south of Notting Hill Gate station. All the houses in this area are so pretty. Look out for lots of other bloggers and Instagrammers taking pictures round here, it’s a very popular spot!
Sadly I didn’t spot any yellow doors with wreaths on them and we all know I LOVE a yellow door! Maybe I’ll find a few more festive ones elsewhere in London! I did however love these two grey ones.
Which is your favourite wreath? Do you have one on your door?
Roads included in this little photo walk route are Sheffield Terrace, Bedford Gardens, Campden Street, Peel Street, Hillgate Place, Farmer Street, Callcott Street, Farm Place and Uxbridge Street.

December 17, 2018 at 1:19 amI know that this wasn’t our walk but it is just a pleasing to see such beautiful wreaths – there really are some good efforts out there! Just such a shame that there are no yellow doors with wreaths!
