This year I’ve been really enjoying creating lots of lovely home made Christmas decorations. I love sitting down and mindfully getting create. It’s so relaxing and distressing and Christmas is the perfect excuse! I shared quite a few different DIYs in my new ebook, as well as my clay decorations on the blog a few weeks ago.
Todays make is a really quick and easy one. I have quite a big stash of these wooden hearts from Hobbycraft and have made so many different things with them. They are perfect for painting, pyrography and decoupage.
You will need:
Wooden hearts, paintbrushes, acrylic paints and string.
Step One:
Paint each heart in one block colour.
Step Two:
Paint some uneven dots in different sizes, using a contrasting paint colour.
Step Three:
Paint a leopard print design on each one in a darker colour. This takes a little practice, but is actually really easy.
Step Four
Tie on your string and you’re done. Told you it was easy!
Hang them on your tree!
I love how quick these were to make and how cute they look on my tree. They match in really well with my fun and quirky collection of decorations.
You could also use these as gift tags. I like the idea of making tags that people can then hang on the tree.
