Autumn is finally upon us and after a rather Autumnal Summer, I’m ready to embrace the cosiest time of year and appreciate everything this beautiful season brings. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes getting the shop Autumn ready. With a pumpkin spice latte to hand and wearing my favourite cosy knits and fighting off a few daddy long legs invasions, I’ve been preparing all the gorgeous Autumn stock for my shop, which I’ve been squirrelling away throughout the year.
This collection of over 60 gorgeous vintage pieces is probably my favourite yet. I just love the colours of the season and this collection is full of gorgeous fabrics and prints including soft and cosy brushed cottons and warm and comfy corduroy pieces. And of course there is plenty of lovely Laura Ashley to bring that lovely cottagecore look into the colder months.
Today I thought I’d share my top 10 dresses from the collection, they really are so lovely! The range will be available from 6pm on Friday 24th September, so set your alarms if you see something you’d love to buy.
1. Laura Ashley Brushed Cotton Floral Shirt Dress
With it’s classic shape and beautiful floral print, this soft brushed cotton dress is perfect for those crisp Autumn and Winter days. This would look wonderful with a pair of boots and a chunky knit for lovely walks through the crunchy leaves.
2. 1970s Maroon Dress with ALL the sleeves!
I absolutely adore this dress, which has the biggest fullest sleeves ever! Made from a lovely heavy cotton in the most glorious colours, this is another great addition to an Autumn wardrobe.
3. Laura Ashley Autumnal Corduroy Shirt Dress
Having sold so many gorgeous Spring and Summer Laura Ashley dresses this year, its been really nice to source some very different LA pieces for this collection. I absolutely love this wonderful corduroy dress. Look at those beautiful colours! This dress could totally be dressed up or down, either way it’ll keep you warm and cosy on foggy fall days.
4. Green Floral Cotton Laura Ashley Dress
This dress is just so beautiful! Green is my favourite colour, so when I found this beautiful dress it was love at first sight. This is a great year round piece that could be styled differently for Spring and Summer, but also layered with knitwear for a pretty Autumn look. She’s too good not to wear all year!
5. 1970s Floral Cotton Pinafore Dress
Autumn is all about layering and you just can’t go wrong with a gorgeous 70s pinafore dress. Wear with a pretty blouse underneath, or for colder days and a cosy roll neck sweater to keep you snuggly and warm. This one need to go on lovely Autumnal adventures with her new owner, she’s ready to explore!
6. Laura Ashley Maroon Corduroy Shirt Dress
Another fabulous classic corduroy dress from Laura Ashley This one will see you right through the winter. I love the deep red colour and easy to wear print. This is another one that would look great with woollen tights and your favourite pair of boots. Think cottagecore, but extra cosy!
7. Laura Ashley Floral Corduroy Long Sleeved Dress
This classic corduroy Laura Ashley comes in that fabulous classic shape that features in a lot of her summer dresses, add long sleeves and a super warm fabric and she’ll see you through until the Spring.
8. Laura Ashley Autumnal Floral Cotton Dress
This lighter cotton Laura Ashley features a beautiful scalloped neckline, lovely gathering on the sleeves and a full gathered skirt. I absolutely love the Autumnal tones in the lovely floral print. She’s another lovely versatile dress that will see you through the whole year. Perfect for outfit repeats and endless styling opportunities. As with almost all Laura Ashley dresses She has pockets!
9. Laura Ashley Floral Cotton Dress in Shades of Mauve and Pinky Red
As well as warmer classic Autumn colours, Ive also featured some shades of blue and purple in the collection. This Laura Ashley has lots of gorgeous details and I would be impossible to not feel fabulous wearing this romantic dream dress!
10. Green 1970s Corduroy Pinafore Dress
Another fabulous 70s pinafore dress! This time in a gorgeous vintage green. This simple dress is so versatile and could be styled any way you like. I’d wear I with a blouse with a fabulous dramatic collar. It could totally be dressed up or down, making it a great wardrobe staple for the season. Whoever buys this, needs to share some pics, I’d love to see how you wear her!
11. (An extra one because I couldn’t choose just 10!) Laura Ashley Purple Floral Dress
I am completely in love with this one! She’s made from the softest cosiest cotton and I just adore the pretty floral print. She embodies that classic high necked Laura Ashley look, while being very easy to wear. The beautiful gathering at the top of the sleeves and the pretty extra details make her my dream dress for the season.
These lovely dresses and many many more will be available on the shop from 6pm this Friday (24th September).
