Wimbledon Car Boot Sale Haul

August 8, 2013

Wimbledon haul

My oldest daughter is at a drama club every morning this week, so I felt brave enough to visit the very busy Wimbledon Car Boot sale again with just one child. Yet again it did not disappoint and I came home with a rather impressive vintage haul!

Here’s what I bought…

3 1960s dresses,

1 1970s max dress,

3 1960s long line bras

1 pair of 1960s stockings

1 1940s sweater

1 1940s handbag

1 bangle (possibly Bakelite)

TOTAL SPEND £48

I am very very happy as everything I bought is in perfect condition, so no repairs or dry cleaning bills!

This time I decided to do a little video to show off my new vintage finds. I’ve never done any kind of vlog before so please bare with me while I get the hang of it!

I’ll try and do outfit posts with my new dresses very soon.

Ok, I will need the bag for the enitre fall and that lattice top dress for taking Clarke to college next week. Thanks for bringing them to Vintage book club! XO

Nice haul. Impressive with a child in tow.

Thanks. Glad you like the bits I picked up. I was planning to sell the bag, but I don’t think I can part with it! 🙂

It’s amazing! Much better than the weekend. It is soooo busy though. I always go with Lila and it’s a struggle getting the buggy round.

Oooh, I miss England so very much. Have lived there a few times but alas, now, am too old for a work permit so must resign myself to my native country – Canada! Would love to go to a “car boot sale” at Wimbledon…thanks for letting me live vicariously. 🙂 – Chris @avintagelife.wordpress.com

What an exciting video! You look even more lovely moving around than in still pictures. And your accent! So cute. Nice haul of stuff.

You should, it’s fantastic. Although a little crazy! If you spot me struggling with a buggy laden with vintage say hi!

Fab video, well done! You found such a great selection and it’s lovely to see your enthusiasm about all your new purchases. I particularly love the longline bras – I’m obsessed with vintage lingerie. x
